Thought I'd just warn people that there has been some very BIG issues with Homefront since release and they have made Kaos and THQ blush a bit.

Here are some of the major issues occuring:

Homefront Dedicated Servers
Homefront?s dedicated servers are currently at capacity, and this is causing some matchmaking issues for players attempting to join an online match.

Can't Join Multiplayer Match / Party Can't Get Into MP Match
If the servers are mostly full it could be difficult to get into a multiplayer match, especially with a large party.

Console Lock-Up and Freeze Issue
The game has been freezing regualry on consoles mainly in multiplayer causing players to reboot their console or restart the game.

Level / Stat/ Experience Resets
Players have managed to level up to high levels and for some unknown reason all their stats are reset to zero.

XBOX 360 Freeze Issues
The game freezes after the loading screens and the user has to restart their console and will be unable to play the game until the problem is fixed. This has effect hundreds of thousands of users. It first occured on release day in the US (15th March) and the issue still has not been fixed.

For a game whose publishers spent a lot of time touting and talking up, particularly the deduicated servers, they have really let themselves down. This game was rushed, no two ways about it and frankly THQ should be recalling their game and offering refunds. It's about damn time that publishers started living up to their promises.
They were caught with their pants down. They had no clue that the showing for Homefront would be so massive. Hence the problems. Homefront is like a concert made for a showing of 500 people, but 5,000 people show. Give them time, they've made claims that the problem will be fixed and I have a feeling that they'll keep their word.

Halo 3 Launch Problems: Unrecognized discs [http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/halo-3-disc-problem-reports]

Call of Duty: Black Ops Launch Problems: A recent patch caused movies made in the game?s theatre mode to disappear. [http://www.pcgamer.com/2011/02/09/call-of-duty-black-ops-dev-says-that-releasing-a-bug-proof-game-is-unachievable/]

Treyarch?s community manager has been talking about Call of Duty: Black Ops? launch problems, saying that releasing a bug-free game is unachievable,
Killzone 3 Launch Problems: [http://www.gamemanx.com/killzone-3-review-if-looks-could-kill/ps3/6813/]

The menus are glitchy and flash matches, if you have the classic map pack installed that many received with the Special edition or by pre-ordering the maps do not rotate correctly. Basically if you have the bonus map DLC installed the other maps will not be playable automatically and you loose the ability to vote on the next map. Other launch problems yet unresolved is lag that the developer confirmed is due to far regions being mixed incorrectly. The game shipped with many technical issues that should have been caught in the testing phase. Luckily most of these can be patched and a major patch is slated for release this week.
Biased much?

Not being biased, just saying that they messed up, it seems to be a reccuring theme for games atm. I just think all developers need to take a step back and really think about release dates and take more time for testing. You expect bugs to be in any game it is just a little annoying when a game is released and you then can't play it. It will get sorted, just a little frustrating, on the plus side it gives me more time playing Dragon Age 2.

That's weird, because none of what you just said was in the OP.

Your backtracking just makes you look even more biased.

My friends and I have experienced almost every single one of these issues, and I've only had the game for one day.

It takes forever to find a match, then when we do, someone gets kicked out while the others get put on different teams. Then when that person who got kicked sees that there are only 13 out of 32 people in a game, they can't join in progress because the "game is full."

At least 3 times I had people drop out and claim that their screens locked up and only a reboot fixed the issue.

We had a team of 8 and ended up sitting in a lobby for 20 minutes while the game said "waiting for more players."

I even joined a game and lagged, and when I checked the lobby it showed EVERYONE was at a red-bar in terms of connection strength.

I wonder if the people who have had no issues are playing in parties. I haven't tried going solo, maybe that will actually help. Either way, my first impression wasn't exactly a good one. :/

It wasn't in the OP as I was justing saying that there are problems with the game atm, I haven't compared it to any other game or said anythign biased except that there are some serious bugs with the game currently and it's making the developers look bad.

I'm finding the single player utterly dissapointing, the multiplayer however I love.

The Battle Points system is far superior to kill streaks, as even non excellent players can get their rewards every now and then. Choosing when to kick in the rewards is very strategic.

The battle field commander is also fabulous, it gives Deathmatch games some structure and gives player who aren't dominating a bit of an edge by being told wherebouts the kill streaking player is.

Finally as a PC gamer one thing I've hated about recent FPS is the lack of Prone. It is back and I am loving it.

Well, most of those bugs listed I still experience on Black Ops. Split-screen makes the freezing bug happen about once an hour. The list of bugs is even longer on the PS3 even still. Months after release. Just from personal experience, Blacks Ops was far worse out of the gate. At least Homefront is playable, though joining xbox live friends online hasn't seemed to work even once so far.

At least with Black Ops freeze bug you can play the game but the Homefront freeze bug happens everytime you load the game so you can never play the game, we'll not until they release the update they are working on. It also sucks that a game like Black Ops suffers from quite a few bugs especially with the name it has to uphold.

I haven't been playing it all that much, but in the couple dozen multiplayer matches I've played I haven't encountered a single issue. In fact, I've had a pretty good time all 'round with it.
