Homefront is on sale on steam today for 15 bucks. I'm sure it's not worth full price, but is it worth that? your recommendations.

Even if I we're gifted it on Steam I wouldn't play it. That's how much it's worth.
No really it's very bad.

That's 15 dollars more than it's worth. Just another generic fps, this one with extremely short singeplayer and lacking multiplayer. It had some memorable moments; just enough to build the hype, but overall game feels lacking, lazy and too familiar. Save your money.

For $15 I would probably buy a physical copy of the game. On Steam though, I would probably only consider downloading it if it were to be released as a freebie. I only like paying for substantial, tangible things. As far as I recall, Homefront wasn't very substantial.

You're better off buying one of the Tomb Raider games (Steam's weekend deal). In fact you can get Legend, Anniversary, and Underworld for $15.27 total. Much better deal -- they're all worth playing through.

Worth it at $5 maybe, but that's about it.

Campaign is short and stupid, multiplayer is somewhat interesting, but glitchy and unpolished, and not nearly on par with call of duty or battlefield, which it's trying to emulate.

Well no, A bad game is a bad game no matter how much it costs

I wouldn't recommend playing Homefront if someone was going to pay you $15 to do it because $3 and hour is less than minimum wage, and playing Homefront is at least a tedious as working retail.

Eh...Homefront is worth the $15, even if it just to see how KAOS had a good idea then totally fumbled and ruined most of it.

The campaign was an interesting idea and could've been damn good, but KAOS was obviously too afraid to take the idea and plot to the extent it needed to be taken to have actual impact. It also made the mistakes of trying to be too action-orientated and it ends at a really bad time. (It ends basically as the game is starting to pick up speed and get interesting)

Which is sad because the campaign is home to a few good moments and has one of the best and most fun toys ever in it; the Goliath Drone. God that thing is fun.

The multiplayer is fun enjoyable for a while, but by now you'll just be getting stomped by arranged teams, so its not as fun as it used to be. Also the anti-vehicle weapons tend to be a little obscene.

All in all, Homefront just proves what I told KAOS-Mitch on the Frontlines forums ever since Homefront was announced: KAOS should've just taken the very good Frontlines and made a Frontlines 2 that was even better. The story was interesting, the multiplayer was fun as hell and balanced almost perfectly.

I actually had to push myself to even finish the single player, and that was only like 4 hours long anyway. I was glad I was done. It's that bad.

Actually, I'd say it is worth that much, at least if you're into CoD-esque military shooters.

It is by no means a good game, but it's hard to go wrong with $15.

Of course, you could always spend that cash on something worth significantly more like, say, Bastion or Amnesia.

Nope. Go buy DX:HR or something. Hell, buy Black Ops and you'll get at least twice as much fun. Homefront is store-brand Diet Military Shooter that takes itself too seriously, and I'm sure the online community is basically dead.

I was unfortunate enough to pre-order it, and must say it's a very disappointing game. the MP is somewhat fun, just doesn't really have any variety. I'd say don't get it.

I bought the THQ pack. If you're considering dishing out $15, think about upping it to $45 or whatever the pack is in America. Because you get quite a few games.
I was thinking of doing just this, until I saw the game list for the pack. While quite impressive and damn worth every cent of that 45 bucks... I already own more than half of them. Still, an excellent pack with a great price. I fully encourage anyone who doesn't have any of these games to get this pack... God knows you'll spend more on some other 59.99 drivel that comes out later this year and EVERY year.
