So, I was watching some old Homestar cartoons on youtube today, and I went to see if by any chance they did ANYTHING since the last few times I checked in the last 4 years... And, yes, they did!

I don't want to spoil anything, but trust me, you won't be disappointed!

I'm so happy, don't ever leave again!

I... think this was an April Fools thing? Maybe? Sadly there's been no more updates since, but it's good to see they still remember Homestar. Hopefully it's a sign of things to come.

I think the fact that Homestar and Strong Bad said that there won't be another update for decades to come probably means that this was a one-off april fools thing. Plus, the brothers have other jobs, so I imagine Homestar is pretty dead.

I haven't seen too much of Homestar, but what I have seen I loved. How long would it take to, say, watch all of the episodes?

I got my hopes up for nothing. :(

I was hoping you meant they had updated again after the April Fools update. It's also bitter sweet that it felt like they had never left, but who knows when we will see more stuff from the site. At least they still keep it up even if it probably does not make them much money these days.

Well even though it's pretty much dead. It was still nice to see something from it again

Matt Chapman is currently in charge of The Aquabats! Super Show! On the Hub so it hasn't really surprised me that he never works on a site that is totally for free anymore.

Yep, that was an April Fool's stunt they pulled this year. It was still great to see Homestar and Strong Bad again regardless.

On a related note, Strong Bad made a cameo appearance of sorts on the show. Though the character's name is Carl, it's undeniably a live action version of SB, played by Matt Chapman himself.

Oh, jeez, there are over 200 Strong Bad Emails alone that are 2 to 5 minutes long averagely, so it would take close to 11 hours just to watch those. If you want to watch every video they ever made, I think you'll be looking at about 15 to 17 hours in total I think.

Foamy the Squirrel is still around, has over a 100.000 views per video, and Jim Mathers seems to be doing pretty well for himself with both Youtube money, merchandise and artwork. But, yeah, without ad revenue I think it's close to impossible to make that sweet internet money they made 10 years ago.

Ahh, I almost forgot to hover my mouse over every little detail of the screen after it's finished to try to find easter eggs.

StrongBad also appears in one of the Aquabats! songs:

My mind says that this is just a stupid April Fools to raise the fans' hopes, piss them off, then redirect them to the store (which isn't defunct, btw. It's still making a lot of money... somehow).

My heart says, "HOLY SHIT MY LIFE IS AMAZING THE EARTH IS AWESOME THANKYOU GOD OH HOLY GOD I LOVE YOU"
