I was just reading the back of a cheerios box and its all about NON-CHALLENGING ways to excersise.....is it just me? what happened to "Feel the burn", "Push yourself", and all that.
it seems to me to be a direct corollary to Missouri (thats a state for those of you not familiar with the US, I dont know states names in your countries so I dont expect you to know names in mine) passing a law that says school sports can not have scores, so everyone wins.
what
the
fuck
isnt America supposed to be a badass?
arent we the teenage punk with something to prove to older more established countries?
Do we or do we not nuke those who pew pew against us?
is it just me?
am I the only one whose mad and scared at this trend?

I want to hear more about how Honey Nut Cherrioes are weakening America. I think you're avoiding the real issue.

Obviously you aren't trying hard enough. You should be exercising right now, then, if you are right.

I agree and that score nonsense is bullhickey. And you might have been the teenage punk, but you grew up into the smothering mother. Times change.

I've not heard such a word in Scotland saying there should be no scores and everyone should be equal because winning is awesome and losing is just another thing to complain about, it's a win win situation.

On the subject of keeping score, I enjoyed smacking the hell out of other people during a nice game of dodgeball. I'd be surprised if you can still play that in elementary school without some mother calling in about how her little darling's feelings were hurt because he's not good at dodging.

Well I'm not good at running or kickball or softball and I still had to play those, they were part of the curriculum...

Then again, when I was a kid, if you scraped your knee or got your feelings hurt you had to fix both of those with your own tears.

America USED TO BE the badass teenager with something to prove. Now we're that whiny, emo 20-something that everyone wants to make fun of, but you don't want to piss him off because he might show up at your house with a gun one day.

They have labelled it too dangerous to play up here in Elementary schools, it's okay in Highschool. It's really quite pathetic, although sometimes we had teachers and subs (wait, I'm sorry we aren't supposed to call them that anymore =P, but I can't remember their politically correct name so screw that) who would actually let us play dodgeball. Other teachers would just yell at us for suggesting dodgeball. It's ridiculous.

psychologically this makes only a tiny bit of sense, as on one hand, people need to feel like they are achieving something, but on the other hand, if everyone wins, there may well be an over abundence of over confident 10 year old's. either way, the kids lose, but this way is at least slightly better for them.

Because sports are so manly and prove so much.

America was never a disobedient punk, it was a drooling fool with a gun and flawed ego.

Still, the whole world seems to have that kind of agenda towards competition.
