Hi Guys,

So i recently went back and listened to Clones by Ash, which was the promo track for the original SW:RC, and it got me thinking, now Disney owns the franchise, and since the original is kinda considered a cult classic and ended on such an amazing (or frustrating) cliffhanger, will we be seeing a sequel, or maybe a remake coming out of Disney?
I personally would love to see another game and you should all go and buy the original on steam or original xbox, (I can't remember if it cam out on ps2) but that can be hard to find these days.

What are your guys thoughts and comments on this one?

Posts have some delay. Not sure why, but there it is.

But emh, dunno what to say here. I kinda missed RC, played only a demo.
Now that you mentioned it, i could pick the full version from somewhere, demo was awesome and i can't remember why i did forget the whole game after that.

Not happening. Lucasarts is just under a new umbrella corporation. It hasn't changed its managerial staff, or any of its senior employees. These are the same people who eviscerated the studios they put to work on Battlefront 3 before canning the game altogether. And cancelling work on Force Unleashed 3 before FU2 was even released. And then cancelling work on that game and shipping it half finished.

It's just not happening.

It's currently only $4.99 on Steam. I'd totally recommend it.

OT: As much as I would like (I wanna go back to Delta!), I don't think they'll bring it back. Disney loves money, that's for sure, but it didn't sell as much as they would have liked. Lore wise, they retconned Karen Traviss' Republic Commando novels, although they could try using some of the inspiration. And if they do decide to bring it back, they'll probably have to "modernize" it, making it a squad-based MW clone instead of a cool Halo inspiration.
If it does return, it might be Imperial Commando, so you can kill loads of rebel scum.

I doubt it, Disney isn't much for good game making and shooters even less so.
Yes it would be great to have RC2 but I just can't see an angle where Disney could see this as worth their time.

It was such a great game, I found it just a few years ago and damn I enjoyed that campaing.
A second wouldn't be bad in any way, unless the game itself sux...

See, that would be awesome, it's just a shame that no one in the games industry can convince investors it would be a good game, but i suppose we do have that new star wars shooter coming out, cant remember it's name, but it's not going to be same...

If they decide to make it, it will just be a CoD clone with lasers. I think that Crytek is one of the few FPS developers that would do a decent job making a sequel.
