+1 for making Vincent and Yuffie non-optional and part of the core story
Also,
-Leave the main plot the same, flaws and all. Adding new exposition, backstory, etc., would be fine.
-Aeris still dies
-Make Sephiroth harder. Or, have an optional "limiter off" mode for hardcore players. You should not kill the endboss with one Omnislash.
-Keep the good minigames. Snowboard, Chocobo racing, Mountain Battles, etc.
-Keep Barrett's swearing
-Keep Cid's swearing
-Some new or tweaked combat features, materia changes, etc. The Limit breaks could be made more interesting and less generic
...And the number one ultimate non-negotiable deal breaker for the remake:
-KEEP ALL THE OLD MUSIC. Every last song. Update it and make it better than midi quality, but no original shit. Use the Black Mage's version of the battle themes.

Actually, Cloud pushes Aerith out of the way at the last moment, getting impaled on Sephiroth's sword. Cue dramatic music. Aerith cries, Sephiroth says something cold and aloof. Then a portal rips open between time/realities and Lightning jumps through. She repeatedly punches Sephiroth in the face with the pommel of her sword screaming,"See! I'm better than Cloud! Don't you like me? None really. It's not that I don't want a FF7 remake. I do(though I'd rather have one of VI). I just don't really feel like ruining all hope of me enjoying it by setting up expectations years before it even comes out. I guess if I was to hope for something, it would be that they retain some form of the ATB fighting system. Tweak it, improve it, make it more dynamic, or whatever. Just don't scrap it altogether and give us an Action RPG system or something like that.
As a matter of fact, the way I heard it she's straight-up taking the place of Aerith in the story. YEAH! The first time I played the game, I figured Barret was supposed to be some sort of shaman or ghost or something, possessing Cloud for complicated shaman/ghost/something reasons.w23eer said:

I'm not actually a FF fan, since almost none of the games were on PC and I just don't play consoles, but my one and only hope for the FF7 remake is that it gets a PC release so I can actually play it. I would love to play JRPGs, they look like something I would really enjoy, and FF is of course the poster series of JRPGs. Would be really nice to get to play it.

ACTUAL ROMANCE between Cloud and Tifa. Not that "indication" crap, but real, holding each other in arms, romantic kiss, legit relationship
Yeah, I'm hoping the Golden Saucer Date will be expanded upon. Perhaps there could also be a dance and/or a romantic dinner or something like that, with Aeris/Tifa wearing a fancy cocktail dress. I also hope who you date has a bigger effect on the rest of the game.sgy0003 said:
