One idea sprang to mind recently, how bout being able to land on moons of planets?
That was already the case in a few situations. I remember in Mass Effect 1 you had a few moon landings, and one mission where you even land on Earth's moon.

That's what I mean. Not just Earth's moon, but all moons in Sol-3 and other Star systems

Ever since the first Mass Effect I've been wishing the renegade options were less "Be an asshole" and more "Flaunt the chain of command every once in a while/efficiency is everything."

Also more exploration.

I think a batarian squad member would be interesting. Garrus had one in his mercenary squad on omega so its definitely an option. I just think it would be enjoyable.

I'm a sucker for romance, so i'm hoping for romance that consists of a bit more than:

Do quest, Receive sex.
Yeah, and maybe fewer squadmates. Crazy, I know, but fewer would be better.

And no damn loyalty missions,

I think BioWare said that they're going to add fewer characters in this time and instead make each existing character a lot more worth while. That's fine with me!

And yeah, one of my biggest problems with Mass Effect 2 was just how overly-structured the missions were. If you take out the missions where you gain each party member and the ones where you gain their loyalty you're left with a 2-hour-long game lol. It felt like going through a damn checklist the whole time. Mass Effect 1 felt way more organic and smooth. Hopefully ME3 will be the same.

Yeah, I did hear they were. I just hope they don't mean fewer new ones. How about just 2 new ones and the rest from the older casts. Maybe like 8 total?

Some of the loyalty missions were fun, but seriously, it just went collect squadmate, loyalty mission, collect squadmate, loyalty mission, collect squadmate, loyalty mission, collect squadmate, loyalty mission, real mission, collect squadmate, loyalty mission, collect squadmate, loyalty mission, collect squadmate, loyalty mission, collect squadmate, loyalty mission, collect squadmate, loyalty mission, real mission, collect squadmate, loyalty mission, end.

lol for me it went:

Introduction, collect squadmate, collect squadmate, collect squadmate, collect squadmate, collect squadmate, collect squadmate, collect squadmate, loyalty mission, loyalty mission, loyalty mission, loyalty mission, loyalty mission, loyalty mission, loyalty mission, some side-quests, collect squadmate, collect squadmate, collect squadmate, collect squadmate, loyalty mission, loyalty mission, loyalty mission, loyalty mission, end.

Just a big ol' checklist.

And yeah I totally agree that it should be like 1 or 2 new characters (maybe 2 or 3 with DLC) and then just focus on building current-standing relationships with each one.
