Cox internet service, the only one around be besides AT&T. They are so horrible, their customer service is horrible and they blame you for everything.

Anyone else have any?

Wal-Mart, sadly. I despise them with a passion, but they're the most conveniently located place for me to buy groceries, and since i HATE driving, that's a big deal for me.

I order most my non-essentials online now just to take my money away from wal-mart.

Shoreham phone company. Excellent phone service, but their internet is the only one available in our county and it's the worst. We pay $60/monthly for broadband that can't even do a Skype call without lagging out. It's just a notch above dial-up, and it constantly dies. If I drive 40 minutes north or south, however, the internet is at least 10x faster. Without exaggeration. Here I can't stream above 250kbps without serious lag. 40 minutes away I can stream at 2500kbps. With no lag.

I also can't do without the oil companies. Unless I would enjoy walking for 3 hours on a highway to get to my work. And we all know why that's a problem >_>

Gamestop. The store sits literally across the street from my neighborhood. I know the trade in things are a rip-off and they just want to make a profit but damn it's just so convenient.

A finnish game store chain called Tilt. The one where I got to has a terrible selection. Other ones I've seen don't fare much better IMO.

Microsoft. Can't live with 'em, can't play games without them.
Yep, first one that came to mind (same thought, too)...

And Games Workshop... the plastic kits are getting idiotically expensive and I remember the days when paints cost £1, codices cost £8 and metal kits cost £12. There goes my grant cheque...

This, sort of. Sometimes, you find exactly what you want, sometimes nothing you cant get cheaper anywhere else. Sadly, it's the best thing we've got. I suppose. Except the internet.

Valve for making games that don't make any sense, glad I've never played one.
Wait, what? How can you not live without it if you've never played one? Unless I horribly missed something and you're actually trying to say that all of their games make sense >_>;

umbrella corporation.
I second that...and sorta the ban part :(

Most internet and mobile phone companies in Canada are just ripping us off like mad, you guys have it so good everywhere else in the world.

Maybe that's the price we pay for healthcare? Too steep if you ask me.

As a guy who has worked for Wal Mart, I say they aren't that bad. The company that hates its employees is Target.

Oh I also will never buy anything from Best Buy but they are the only ones with PC titles around me. Thus I have no PC games.

EA. The only thing that could make me like Origins more is being in an alternate reality where a more deserving company reaped the profits of that game.
