When I was around six or seven I was mixing up a batch of brownies and, because I used the wrong measuring cup, ended up putting in three times the indicated amount of cooking oil (one and a half cups instead of half a cup). The brownies came out looking good, until we tried to cut them and oil gushed out.

I was cooking a dessert for Thanksgiving, as I was bringing it out of the oven it slipped. Shattered glass and blueberries all over my kitchen floor.

Not so much making awful food here, but one time I melted the grill handle of an oven.

It's all good though. It wasn't my oven.

i once melted 8 year old sharp cheddar on a cheeseburger.
made my face implode with the intensity of the cheese...
i dont recommend it.
I imagine that smelled...interesting.
Cheddar doesnt smell when aged properly, it just tastes like concentrated cheese dynamite.

A few days ago at work, a whole isle suddenly turned blue with smoke. Turned out that one of the bakery ladies wanted to bake some cookies 'for just a little longer'. A little too long perhaps?

But I really got scared when our boss said "Luckily, we don't have fire alarms!" And seeing as all the emergency exists are also blocked with wares, it's a friggin' miracle that we haven't had a huge disaster before.

Dude, you should put a wicker fuse in the cheese and light it next time.

Once when making a cake someone measured out 2 tablespoons of starch instead of teaspoons making the flattest cake that I have ever seen in my life, but it was so awesome... oh how I miss that cake

One of my freinds was making gingerbread men in high school cooking, he read the quantities wrong and used one tablespoon of sugar and one CUP of salt

or at home my brother went to make a thickshake, fills the blender to the brim with milk, doesnt hole the lid down. Milk and little pieces of banana went everywhere

Cake tends to be fond to the heart.
