My first horror film is probably some random higher end B-movie about mutant sharks/crocodiles. Think, bad versions of Jaws. I remember watching Deep Blue Sea and a film about a grandmother feeding cows to a crocodile. It has helped me develop a fear of sharks, even though I know that they're perfectly harmless creatures. Hell, more cows kill people than sharks do per year![sub]If old statistics and the media are to be trusted.[/sub]
Horror films I properly remember are The Host and Alien. The Host scared the living shit out of me, it was set in Seoul so I could kinda relate to it. Alien wasn't scary at all, both times I saw it. No, it wasn't bright midday but a grim, cloudy afternoon. I guess it's because I saw Aliens first and that scared me stiff. So did Alien 3, I couldn't even finish it. Also because I knew the 'chestburster' scene and the rough ending.
I'm a sucker for horror so I tend to avoid them. I only like them when they're in the zombie or sci-fi genre.
