But really,
The Thing, a good version of it
I was gonna mention The stand - I'm not sure how the hell they would pull that off, though.

Otherwise, there aren't too many notable vampire games, and I'd like to see more of them. :)

LAME horror movies.

Needs something more creepy.
Like The Grudge, Unborn, crazy over-the-top horror. I hope FEAR 2 takes it to the next level.
Now that I think about it... why is it so hard for developers to make a horror game? Plenty of movies for inspiration.

Scared of working on it late nights at the office?

A WhoDunit multiplayer game where each player moves around a manor leaving traces of evidence of where they have been and what they have interacted. One player will start off as the murderer and it is their job to kill everyone without getting caught. The game would naturally be played where everyone has a mic and talk to eachother and while everyone can carry a weapon, larger weapons slow the player down and carrying one makes the player look suspicious. If a player that isn't the murderer attacks someone while unprovoked they also become a murderer in which case the two murderers will try to kill eachother. If all murderers are killed the game ends with the survivors winning and if all survivors are killed the murderers win.

To prevent general idiocy all players will start off in different corners of the manor or grounds around the manor and will have a radio to talk to eachother but it will only have enough power for two minutes of talking. I only hope the game would be like an intelligent murder mystery not a free for all where everyone attacks eachother on sight.

Salems lot could be cool.

But I would LOVE a 30 days of Night videogame, make it as dark and twisted as some of the other stuff in the series and it will be natural horror.

Hells yeah, that'd be insane.
I believe it should definately be in third person though, maybe with some spooky first person, torch-lit scenes. And if you wanted, you could be the killer and you'd have to stealthily lure people out of social situations and off them quietly, that or go on a bender and massacre them all at the end.
I could quite happily play a good slowburning real time horror game *sigh*

Night of the Living Dead would be funny but would make an awful game.
Level 1!
"Quick! Board up the windows!"
"Yay! We did it!"
Level 2!
"Uh-oh! They opened up the windows again!"
"More boards!"
"Horay!"
Level 3!

....I'm guessing you are starting to see a trend?

There was a section of Resident Evil 4 that reminded me a lot of Night of the Living Dead. It was easily one of the best parts of the game, but any longer than 10 minutes would have been too much. I'd like one based loosely on Day of the Dead, hiding out in a Fallout like vault and having to go to a nearby city on the surface to replenish supplies etc. Hard to say what the final objective would be though.

Brilliant idea man. I hope they'll make a game like that eventually.
