Somebody get hub in here!

It definitely wont be in blockbuster but oldboy, not scary just fucked up. There are no scary films there all either jump out scares (aka the worst kind of scares) or fucked up.

House of 1000 corpses, the devils rejects etc. Quarantine is the only film that has ever come anywhere close to scaring me.

Try the ones that I have mentioned.

Some of the ones I have read in this thread are bad, the decent? Really? Blair witch? Lord no. Audition has one good scene.

Come and See, the Russian war film. Uhh not a ghost and ghouls type horror, but the most horrific film I have ever seen.

The Original Halloween and Halloween 2 plus Halloween 1&2 remakes are really scary. Also Stephen King's IT if you weren't scared of clowns you will be. Pet Cemetery and Poltergeist are also both good horror films. Psycho is good but more of a Thriller than a Horror. Scream 1,2 & 3 are good as well.

Human Centipede is one of the worst films made but that makes it so good. Definitely not scary but gory and wrong, so damn wrong.

Hubilub?

I am afraid he has been banned.
Was quite sad when I found out.

The only horror movie I've ever seen that scared me even a little was Nightmare on Elm Street... but then again that movie only starts to scare you right before you go to sleep...

And I would recommend not watching Friday the 13th. No matter what anyone tells you... it's awful. Complete trash from start to finish and wasn't scary in the slightest.

He's not really banned. It looks self imposed, no idea why though. Isn't it just easier not to visit the site rather than asked to be banned off it?

Why would he want to ban himself?

Click community, click the search users, type his name in, click on him, click on his last post and click on why he was banned ... beyond that I don't know his reasoning.

Event Horizon, sci fi horror. Kubrick's The Shining also comes to mind.

+1 Night of the Living Dead
+1 Halloween (Carpenter's)
+1 The Thing (Carpenter's)

But for my money, The Ring >> Ringu. Just because it's Japanese doesn't mean I'll forgive a lazy, evasive, BS non-explanation for the entire story. If you want to go to Japan for halloween, I'd recommend Ryuhei Kitamura's Versus. Like Aliens, it's more action than horror but it's got a ton of zombies and it's 120 minutes of rock-solid awesome.

A movie that truly scared me was the Ring. No other movie has scared me quite like it (so far).

Paranormal activity is just creepy. It kinda spooky, like those good ghost videos on youtube.
