Wow. I really don't know why they would want to lift such a ban but okay...

Thoughts? Have you ever tried horse meat before?

EDIT: After speaking to a friend of mine, he convinced me that horse meat is quite the delicacy. Then I got home and saw that I had 6 messages from this thread saying that I don't know what I am talking about in the first line. Yea, well I've never tried it before so give me a break :)

Hey look, something taxable for the US. I'm all for it.

Edit: In fact, why was there even a ban?

The only reason it was banned in the first place is the same reason dog meat is banned.

People LOVE their horses. LOOOOOVE. Just like they LOVE their dogs.

There are traditional korean dishes that rely on dog meat (bo sin tang? if i recall) and you can only obtain a facsimile containing goat meat (usually) here in the states.

Well I wouldn't eat horse or pony normally ,but if this law give me permission to eat the cast of My Little Pony I'm all for it.

Also why was this ban lifted, is there even a market for horse meat here?

I honestly see no reason why this was banned. Yes they are cute and lovable according to some people but dammit, when Seabiscuit dies what the hell are you going to do with the body? Give it a burial? Heh heh, no. Odds are it would just be rotting in a landfill somewhere, may as well put the meat to use.

I sometimes eat horsemeat... It tastes better than ham, so... yeah. Then again, I'm not American and this law therefor did not apply to me anyways, so... fuck you horses. Now get on my bread so I can eat you.
