I just been playing CoD4 multiplayer, I'll be buying CoDMW2 after xmas, so I thought I'd get back into the swing of things......

...I've been away from the CoD4 MP scene for a while since....and its changed, or I've not being paying attention previously...

1. there's more cheating SOBs (one particular incident viewing a killcam the guy had an aimbot and rapid fire on an M21,seriously whats the point, thats like buying a film and getting someone else to watch it for you)

2. the unreasonable amount of server rules:

[li]no "noob tubes" ('nade launchers guys, its a tactical advantage)[/li]
[li]on certain perks (just came of a server saying: "No juggernaut")[/li]
[li] one so far as to not going into certain areas of the map!![/li]
[/ul]

ok so you can't really do much about teh cheating, I know that, and I just leave the server and try a new one.

No noob tubes: you only get 2 nades for it and its a tacticle advantage, just like having a .50cal sniper rifle is a tacticle advantage for shooting through walls.

no certain perks.....dear god, your practically saying:"done ultilise the game that you parted good money with"

next you'll be tell me, no shooting, no throw grenades, NO MOVING

the whole point is that you adapt to the fighting style, if someone snipes, flank and nade, someone is assaulting nade, stun or flash them to slow them down, if someone has a nade launcher, find cover! adapt!

how about you uninstall CoD4 off that server if you going to impose stupid rules. cos theres a game more suited to your whiny: "oh noes, don't play like that, play like this!" Its called "black and white"

I guess thats one advantage of not having dedicated servers, everyone can piss everyone else off with the way they want to. No matter how irritating the Akimbo ranger is, as you say, adapt.

If you get annoyed by people imposing stupid rules, there's a game more suited to that too. It's called paying £69 a month for your own server. The server owner is like the kid with the football. His rules go, or you've got 2 choices. Find another game or buy your own ball.

for once, I'm glad I bought a shooter for the 360. And who the hell calls it the "noob tube" anyway? why not just call it "the grenade launcher" or "the M203"? But I digress, online shooters people think are almost abandoned will always have 99% cheaters and jerks and 1% good, honest folk(damn you grapes of wrath for adding that to my vocabulary). unless they have you take a IQ test before the download of the game, you will always find some kind of dumb jerk who thinks that cheating is fun because they do it on their football team down in Alabama... am I getting off topic?

Tron basically summed up his point and, apparently, no one disagrees. I can pretend to disagree for the sake of the discussion but I can't think of any arguments that would sound rational.

hah, i remember that, it gives you 3 all up.

its way more awsome now on MW2, with the perks: fast hand and danger close (explosive damage increased) a gun, any gun with the noob tube and a thumper (standard noob tube) for off hand, you really rake up the kills with that.

Though having said that people do find a way to counter me, mostly its just lag and good reflexes, but it can be countered

The general consensus (and the forum rules for that matter) state that if you don't have anything worthwhile to add to the discussion, don't post at all.

OT: The good thing about COD4, on PC anyway, is that you can stick with a cool group of servers once you find them. MW2 on the other hand is a whole other situation...

The COD community is the worst community I've come across recently, it's alot harder than it sounds finding a good server. Maybe it's just my bad experiences that's making me judge, I don't know.

I play "hardcore" Search and Destory (well I used to) and found 2 servers I liked that were always full. I never really looked for servers, I followed my friends into games of TDM and other gametypes, but then I was concentrating on the different gametype more than the people/server rules.

That and I don't use juggernaught/'nade launchers/marty/last stand anyway so no one ever gave me schtick.
