When you get MW2 you will realise why people want rules like that. Its not like your forced to play on those particular servers.

....Shut up and deal with it

1. there's more cheating SOBs (one particular incident viewing a killcam the guy had an aimbot and rapid fire on an M21,seriously whats the point, thats like buying a film and getting someone else to watch it for you)
Yeah, same. i once had this quy who had a .deagle. Sounds alright. Except on kill cam he had no recoil, rapid fire, increased clip size and accuracy of a fucking sniper.

Yea..was going to start going on and on and on about online gaming and etc etc. but i just can't anymore. So what i will say is this. There are a certain level of gamer ethics. Okay sometimes ya play a little cheap. call it stratergy call it whatever. But ethically you don't do it all the time. You also don't kick and scream and whine if it happens to you once or twice during the course of the game. Because it's a game. Oh and Bickering over how people post and respond in forums is almost just as bad.

No noob tubes: you only get 2 nades for it and its a tacticle advantage, just like having a .50cal sniper rifle is a tacticle advantage for shooting through walls.
I used the Overkill perk to gain a second rifle with another 203 launcher on it. I can't remember how many servers I was banned from.
hah, i remember that, it gives you 3 all up.

its way more awsome now on MW2, with the perks: fast hand and danger close (explosive damage increased) a gun, any gun with the noob tube and a thumper (standard noob tube) for off hand, you really rake up the kills with that.

Though having said that people do find a way to counter me, mostly its just lag and good reflexes, but it can be countered
Yeah, I have been using that load out, minus the Danger Close due to still being low level. I'm a surgeon with those launchers just if they get within like five meters of me, I'm basically fucked.

Cool story bro.
I am getting so, so sick of seeing this stupid meme everywhere...

OT:

THe amount of bitching in COD4 was ridiculous, but most people agreed Martyrdom was pretty annoying.

The noob tube abuse in MW2 is far worse anyway. Scavenger + noob tube = not fun for anyone else.

I find it somewhat ironic that you are telling people to "Shut up and deal with it" while at the same time whining about rules on particular servers. I think you need to perhaps follow your own advice.

The fact is, the people running those servers have every right to impose whatever rules they feel like. If you don't want to play by those rules, go find another server and leave those people who are happy playing by those rules alone.

Personally, I never had a problem with people using grenade launchers, M16s, martyrdom and whatnot on COD4. I even used them myself on occasion. They are in the game for a reason, after all. But if a particular server's rules were that these things were off-limits, then that was fine too, I played by the rules, and didn't ***** about it.

It does annoy me when people complain about using rocket launchers or sniper rifles. Are you suggesting that the game developers put it in the game just so people couldnt use it? If someone snipes you or blows your gonads off with a rocket dont complain about it, keep on playing, get some revenge (if you can) and then move on you childish little prickwads!.../rant.

If you get annoyed by people imposing stupid rules, there's a game more suited to that too. It's called paying £69 a month for your own server. The server owner is like the kid with the football. His rules go, or you've got 2 choices. Find another game or buy your own ball.
a good arguement, and true, but there are more and more people who make these heavyly levied servers, that you can't go on any server that doesn't impose some BS rule and when you have found one, most for th time its only the other side of the world and totaly unplayable cos of the ping, its pushing decent, players for playings sake, out of the game.

OT: I agree completely, people who complain about "overpowered" things should learn that they've been put into the game for a reason, and it's not cheating to use them.
But it's not good sport.

People have imposed their own rules so they play they can play the way they want to. If you don't feel their rules are for you, leave the server and "shut up and deal with it" as the OP puts it. I'm sure that if there were enough people who feel they wish to play the game differently there are just as many who hold the same opinion as you.

The logic I have placed in bold doesn't make sense to me because if I take that logic and apply it to MW2's recent happenings, the Javelin glitch recently covered across many gaming websites should never have been fixed because it was put into a game for a reason, leaving a ridiculously annoying facet of the game intact ready for any and every player to use at will.
Glitches and bugs are not placed in games for a reason.

Tea, milk and two sugars. Standard issue.

I remember when i first started proper online pc gaming and i was playing Medal of Honour. I used to get annoyed with people who'd turn up with a noob tu.. no, i can't say it - a rocket launcher and blow the christ out of you while you had nothing but an M1. Then i realised, i guess i've just got to get better, and i did, and i enjoyed it more when i killed them.

I guess it's been covered and i'm new to this forum so i don't know how many times the OP's point has been made on here, but its always the same with every online fps that comes out someone will get annoyed with the 12year old with the 203 lol.

He's got the right to vent though, lets be fair.

I only support one rule in CoD4: No martyrdom or last stand.
Why?
Martyrdom doesn't kill the guy who killed you, it kills people who should randomly stroll over your body, not having heard the ultra-silent grenade which normally the killer hears. This involves team-mates when friendly-fire is on. I've experienced this too many times, therefore I can't play on servers with FF on.

Last stand has a bad tendency to give away kills to other people, especially when you're sniping in hardcore with a slow rifle. You must score a perfect HS in order to be 100% sure that the kill is yours if the opponent has LS. A better solution would've been that the one who finishes the opponent gets the assist if someone else makes him go into LS. With this fix applied, I would just say: no martyrdom

Well the thing is, I'm very good with a noob tube. But I hate using it. The only time I ever even consider bringing it out is when the other team (over 60% of the players) starts using the damn thing. I'd say 99.9% of the time you'll find me with an assault rifle and a pistol.

So, what are the counter measures when going against someone using the grenade launcher? I don't play COD4 or 6, but I have an urge to start playing. I was watching this kid play at the local internet/gaming bar, and that's all he used, just dominating people, albeit still only managed 4th place out of 6 on his team.
