Wait, that's supposed to be hot? It's 2 AM here and it's STILL 29c with >90% humidity. During the day it's ~35.5c with the same humidity. Sweat doesn't work. This is even a pretty mild summer, usually it's over 40c with only slightly lower humidity.

Simply put I am not beating the heat. I am avoiding the sun like a vampire. Bloody heat.
It did motivate me to find a good image to express myself though.

Sleeping with a fan on, working nights and air con in the car is aparantly my coping method

Keep all windows and curtains closed if they're in direct sunlight; open all windows at night to allow air flow. Keep hydrated, and wash your wrists, neck or ankles if you're feeling hot (where the blood vessels are closer to surface of your skin).

Sitting around in my pants hoping for a swift death.

I live on the second floor so I have two flats beneath me with all their heat floating up into my flat and I have my computer and my boyfriends computer pumping out heat and the only respite I have is this tiny little desk fan which is doing close to bugger-all. All the windows are open but that doesn't seem to help. :(

Well I went for a 5 mile run at about 2 in the afternoon and almost died. That's my strategy, to die and lose all that pesky body heat.

I'm not. Heat's winning.

I don't have to work today, so I seriously might just sit here all day with the desk fan blowing in my face. I will be doing sports in the evening though, because I am a massochist... But that might mean I actually get some decent sleep tonight.

Can only hope.

Having my slaves servants fan me with those giant leafs. They have young arms. They can go for hours.

Phoenix, Arizona here.
Got up to 123f recently.
That's 50c for you folks who live outside of hell's doorstep.

I have a big fan, ice water, and this weird little neckdrape thing packed with gel that gets as cold as ice without freezing solid.

Honestly I'm lashing the shorts on and enjoying the heat and sunshine for a change. I stopped hating it when I lost a tonne of wait after leaving college a few years ago and now I just enjoy the nice weather and blue skies.

Helps that my car has some fucking glorious air con and a great sound system :D

Edit: No, really though, it makes a great difference considering from september to june all it did here was fucking rain, and we had some pretty horrendous flooding in December. That was ignored by the news outside of Carlisle (which on reports looked like Carlisle on a saturday morning anyway). I'm loving the heatwave, my girlfriend is enjoying it to.

It's been hot in the American midwest too. Almost two weeks straight hovering around 100F. It's almost like there's some kind of warming taking places globally.

Not an Escapebrit, confirmed Escapecanuck. It was hot here recently but a fan and almost no clothing made it all work.

That and this is a dirty basement suite with thousands of bugs. The wings of the moth horde really do act like AC... <.<

Despite my complaining earlier in the thread, I have this to say. Summer was nice.
