I'm most definitely not a morning person, being a heavy sleeper who can only reliably sleep if it's gone at least 1AM.

I can get up if I really need to, but if it's not important I can turn my alarm off without waking up at all. I can stagger around for a few minutes and then return to the bed and go straight back to sleep as well. I've slept through construction workers dropping tonnes of marble slabs into skips, thunderstorms and my own alarm clocks. I've even been asleep when the neighbour's house was on fire and the fire engine turned up sirens, lights and whatever else going.

Whatever the case, if I wake up at 8 I don't wake up until at least 10 after necking two cups of tea.

Depends if I have something to do, if I have to work I can get up no problem but if it's a day off I will sleep for about 3 extra hours

Nowadays: badly. It not always used to be like this. I'm pretty much the annoying asshole who's away upon hearing his alarm. However, some health issues (shortness of breath, throat problems and other smoking related stuff) I have make it very hard for me to keep any enthusiasm up until I'm awake for about three hours.

I usually need a solid 8 hours of sleep, and if I don't get that then I really struggle to get out of bed. Being a full tim student still my schedule's all kind of wacky, so I can't have a regular sleeping pattern, which is very irritating. This is partly because I find it very hard to sleep unless I've been awake for at least 15 hours or so. Still, if I can help it I like to go to bed at midnight and be up at 8:30.

I'm awful in the morning. I have two alarms and I place one on the floor so I have to get up and get it or it won't shut up. Morning is also the only time when I don't want to eat anything, but of course it's important to eat in the morning so I have to force food down and I hate that. It's also always cold in the morning, even in the summer. I...bloody..hate..mornings.
There is absolutely no reason to force feed yourself in the morning. Breakfast is not 'the most important meal of the day' or any of that crap. Eat when you are comfortable with eating. Personally I need to have been awake for at least an hour before I'm capable of eating (I just gag otherwise), which often means I don't have time for breakfast anyway. There has been many a day when I've not eaten in the morning, gone on to do something before lunch, and it has not hurt my performance in the slightest.

Don't use the snooze button.

I saw a youtube video that broke down the science of what happens to your body when you hit the snooze button. Basically, your body has steps it goes through to wake you up. If you interrupt those steps, you wake up without the chemicals your body releases to wake you, leaving you feeling still tired. Hitting the snooze interrupts the cycle multiple times over, each time waking you in different sleep stages, fucking you up more and more, the more you do it.

I changed it so now I just have the alarm go off, same day every day, and I have no trouble rolling out of bed.
