Right now including games I haven't played, or games I plan to replay very soon, my backlog includes 17 games. Most of these are from steam sales, but still. Damn that's a lot of playing I got to do.

So how big is yours?

I have five that I need to finish. I'm not planning to replay anything until I finish those five.

I have 5 years? worth of games from when I was in the Marine Corps and another 2.5 from my undergraduate years. So I would guess at least half to 3/4 of my collection of console games.

Hmm...I'd say 1 that I seriously plan on getting back to.

Dead Space 2(hardcore mode)

I really, REALLY wanted to say New Vegas as well, but I just can't see myself getting back into that game.

Wow, that's it? My backlog of games I would like to get through is too huge. If I just look at my PS2 collection, the number of games I actually want to finish just from that platform hits in the high 20s. Add in 360 and PC games, ugh.

Note: I did try to convince God to lengthen the day by 4 hours of evening time (free from work, school, etc) but he laughed at me...damn.

Umm... about five. Most of which I am currently playing.

So yeah, not so big. I tend to complete games the first time I play them and I'm pretty picky about what I buy in the first place.

I've got about... 250-350 games that I need to play or finish playing. >.>
200 alone are from the Steam sale (and most are waiting on a new PC that can run 'em and run 'em well), while the rest are mainly my 360, with a few for the PS3, PSP, Wii and NDS.

This made me feel kinda guilty. Lesseehere...

Deus Ex
Neverwinter Nights 2
Monkey Island
Monkey Island 2
Munch's Oddysee
Overlord
Overlord 2
Dragon Age Origins
Planescape Torment
System Shock 2 (if I can get the damn thing to work)
Resistance 2
Silent Hill 2

And those are just the ones I've BOUGHT and haven't gotten around to. There are dozens of games I plan on getting around to later too. Also, I notice about half of the games have 2's in their title. Weird.

My ongoing backlog is 8 shades of huge.

My current titles?

9 thus far.
Rollercoaster Tycoon 2
Pokemon Heartgold (just reset game, starting fresh)
Doom 3
Animal Crossing (Gamecube, lost old memory card, starting over)
Minecraft (have two fortresses, building a beachside one)
Resident Evil 4 (getting all the special weapons to do a speed-run)
Shadow of the Collosus (still have 6 Collosi to beat)
Fallout 3 (still haven't beaten the DLC packs including the actual end of the game)
Golden Sun: Dark Dawn (halfway through)

Fuck me, this isn't even all the games I WANT to play, I have a rather massive backlog beyond this.

I only have a couple from the Humble Indie Bundles but I haven't really found any motivation to play them.

.... A bunch. My next month in gaming'll be dedicated to finally getting Mario Kart Double Dash, Mario Party, and the Twilight Princess for Gamecube (because I'm rebelling from the Wii.)

EDIT: Because after that, I'll still have to get Dead Space 2, Little Big Planet 2, maybe even Starcraft 2, and by the time I'm done that, I'll have to get DNF, Brink, Bulletstorm, and whatever else is looking good.

Are we talking standard games? Five or so (Tales of the Abyss, Final Fantasy X, Skies of Arcadia, Mana Khemia, Metroid Prime 3, among others).

Visual novels and related? Forty or so (Clannad, Ever17, Snow Drop, Doushin - Same Heart, Brave Soul, Kikokugai, among many others).

Dead Space 1 and Fallout 3 need to be started. I need to finish Prince of Persia (left it sitting near end-game) and Modern Warfare 2 Veteran.

I need to finish the achievements for DMC4 and Ninja Gaiden 2 (likely the only 2 games I can get 1000 Gamerscore for). I need to put in more practice so I can 1CC Deathsmiles (can get 900+ Gamerscore if I ever get that good. True Final Boss achievement is a *****).

Need to get back to Final Fantasy 12, which I left sitting at some 30+ hours (most likely more).

How in the world do you buy 200 games like that? Were they impulse purchases? :O
How can you afford that many without purchasing a computer that can run them?

Sorry. I'm just a little envious.

Too big.

Haven't finished the following:
Couple of .hack games
Lost Odyssey
Magna Carta 2
Atelier Rorona
Continuum Shift
Valkyria Chronicles 2
Tactics Ogre
Demon's Souls
and a bunch of Steam games

Actually, looking at the rest of this thread made me feel better about my backlog.

  • PC Aquaria
    Fallout 2
    Fallout Tactics
    Gish
    Halflife: Blue Shift
    Halflife: Opposing Force
    Halflife 2: Episode One
    Halflife 2: Episode 2
    Left 4 Dead 2
    Lugaru HD
    Osmos
    Penumbra Overture
    Team Fortress Classic
    Unreal Gold
Heroes of Might and Magic II
Heroes of Might and Magic III

    PS2Orphen: Scion of Sorcery

And that's just the ones I bought with the intention of playing, but haven't even gotten around to booting into the menu yet. If you include the games that I've played but not to any great extent, it gets bigger. If you include the games I have yet to finish, that includes all but maybe ten of the games I've ever owned in my life. Heck, if you add games that I bought to get another game, you add a couple more that were on the same disc as my copy of Caesar II. I have some really bad habits when it comes to game buying.

[sub]And yes, that's just the stuff I've bought since I got my new computer last Spring, so that's not quite a full year of backlog.

Zero.

I haven't had the spare money to be buying games frivolously recently, and as a result pretty much every game I own has had its time in the spotlight of late. I'm actually getting a bit starved for new material... just can't afford to be buying new games right now. *sigh*
