I play WoW, but I get bored after a few hours of playing. I can't see myself playin WoW excessively in the next year and I started play in October 2010, hell the only reason I go on now is to socialize with my friends from College.
Indeed, and most people don't know sh*t about the game for example:Gxas said:Because most people who get "addicted" don't understand moderation and have no sense of it in their life.
It isn't the game, its the person.
WoW gets too much shit for something that isn't remotely its fault.
My friends and I are tryin to form a Raiding Guild, but you kinda lose the motivation to recruit when 20 of the people you recruit haven't been on for 2 months.Nieroshai said:Different people, different tastes. Considering you were only in a couple months, I'm assuming you never got into a raiding guild. That's where the fun's at.
I'd first suggest that you join a raiding guild and get some experience there before starting your own. A good guild is run like a business, and weeds out members who never participate and recruit members with good stats and time. Also, guilds don't just raid whenever, if I'm thinking what you think, they set schedules and have opt-ins for willing members.Jack of Spades said:My friends and I are tryin to form a Raiding Guild, but you kinda lose the motivation to recruit when 20 of the people you recruit haven't been on for 2 months.Nieroshai said:Different people, different tastes. Sorry but no, while you are right to point out that ther4e is a difference between obsession and addiction, videogame addiction is quite real, those that are addicted become dependent on it, needing it to feel good, you don't need drugs to be addicted and some drogs aren't chemicly addictive either, emotional dependacy is just as hard to break, if not more so, than chemical addiction.michael87cn said:I don't believe in MMO addiction. It's not a drug, it's a video game. If people play 'too much' (according to who's standard?) then it means they're having fun. There isn't a single person alive who continues to play an MMORPG that they hate and have ZERO fun playing. If there was, they would be addicted.
People continue to play video games that they enjoy, alert the media, news is at 7.
Edit: Because my flame prediction skills are tingling.. I just want to emphasize; there's addiction and then there's obsession. The two are not the same.
