Mine is messy as hell. Keep meaning to get motivated to clean, but once it hits a certain point of beer can/PET bottle carpeting I just know it's going to be a 6 hour job.

To those insanely clean/well organized single people out there - how do you do it?

Right now? It is far messier than usual. There's a garbage bag I still need to take out. The recyclables are starting to take up the counter in the common area's kitchen (all my fault, since I'm the only one who recycles). There's also just a lot of miscellaneous stuff just lying around.

Generally, though, I keep it clean. I never want to have to spend more than 5-10 minutes at a time cleaning, so I generally try to keep it clean as the day goes on by putting stuff away and taking out the trash. Messes eventually form (like right now), but they still generally never take more than 10 (maybe 15) minutes to clean.

It's uh...

Well I mean it's not a trash heap. Sure it's a bit dusty and could use a vacuum but the floors are relatively clear otherwise.

I let the dishes pile up too, but I just did them so that's all clean right now. :D

Only issue is my bathroom.... That's horrifying.

It's... neat, but not clean? I don't have stuff lying all over, and I don't have dishes in the sink, but I...

I'll be honest, I really need to vacuum. Even typing this, wow I need to vacuum.

I keep everything really clean. Rather easy to do if you pick up after yourself as you do things rather than letting it accumulate.

My dorm room could probably stand to be cleaned a little bit, but it's not awful. There's still some Pringles cans on my desk, and my dresser has tons of shit on it (generally textbooks and games). But it's not really dirty. Do need to probably vacuum the floor or use a broom to clean it up soon.

Clean.

I'm a bit of a neat freak. I'm not neurotic but I like things to be tidy. Sometimes I clean absentmindedly without realising what I'm doing, much to the dismay of my boyfriend. I've started tidying his desk before when we were watching a show on his PC. XD

It's sort of trashy. I usually clean up, but it ends up getting messier than before in the space of a few hours. The best way to summarize would to say that it's organized chaos. ( Before you say it, I know).

There's only two times when it's extremely clean. When my mom comes to visit or that I have a lady coming over.

My mom judges a lot? On the off-chance I meet a girl who has the same characteristic, I'd rather not gamble and let her see the room.

Extremely clean. I'm the tidiest person I know. Everything must be clean, tidy and alphabetized.

By contrast my sister and my girlfriend, the two people I have over the most frequently, are dirty, disgusting slobs.

The house stays pretty clean, thought my art studio is a full on mess. I have tons of open projects scattered across the floor in priority of which one is in arms reach that moment. But, you know.. as a married guy, I'd suggest learning to set a cleaning schedule now while it's just you, because it's going to be raw hell getting used to it once your living with someone..

The general rule with me is, the larger the room the more likely it is to be clean and tidy. My current room is so small that I can touch one wall with my feet and the opposite one with the top of my head. The room is roughly square-shaped so yeah. It is a bit of a mess. But as long as I have places to put things, it'll be tidy. I just need a place to put all my stuff. If there's somewhere for all my stuff, there's enough floor space to properly clean it.

I do have rules though.
a) No leaving plates and glasses around for longer than about an hour after I use them
b) Take all recyclables to the recycle bin when I go downstairs
c) If it can be binned, bin it as soon as possible. It's ridiculous how fast rubbish piles up.

I've seen what happens when these rules are neglected. There was a guy in my class in university who had a room so disgusting that the maintenance guys in the student halls he lived in had to actually assess if it was too hazardous to live in. He also had the nastiest BO you can ever imagine.

Clean, but I leave stuff where it is when I take it off/don't need it any more. There's always a (messy) DIY project going on at the moment so it doesn't seem worth the effort a lot of the time.
You can't post here, you live with Mrs.Baffle!

It could use a ..bit.. of a touch-up...Well, more than a bit really.

Coca-cola cans on every flat surface, and stacked 2-3 on each-other in the bed/computer room.
Books in and all over the library/living room.
Some clothes on the floor by the wash machine in the shower-room.
Some mail and cartons in the kitchen..No dirty dishes though.

The hallway is good.

It's not super clean but it is also not too messy either. Trust me, I have seen MESSY rooms (two people that I used to know litterally have their stuff on the FLOOR)!!

Granted I will say that my room get very dusty easily despite I do clean my room once my room but I am lazy to know clean every spec of it like the surface of the tables.
