Who's Paul Grey?Arkhangelsk said:Hard to keep track for me too. But I keep track of the really big ones. I'm still bummed about Paul Gray's death.
He's a big one?
When did he die?

Well, Gary Coleman was in a computer game.Frenger said:What bugs me is that Gary Coleman got a newspost here on the Escapist... but Dennis Hopper didn't. I've looked, must be an oversight...
I mean, wtf is up with that?

I don't get to the all first...Lupus in fabula said:How the hell do you manage to answer all threads first?marter said:You need to pay more attention to popular culture I suppose.
You aren't alone though. I don't really pay attention either.
Who are you? WHAT are you?
Are you a human or a machine?
XD
The fuck he is.Renamedsin said:Anyway, Dio is and will always be the God of metal.
I'm fairly certain I'm a person. Avatars don't represent who is behind them all the time.Lupus in fabula said:Your are NOT a person.marter said:I don't get to the all first...
I am Matthew. I am a person.
Human, most definitely.
Any other questions?![]()
Your avatar implies that you are some sort of automaton with horns.

Hell no, Dio had the best voice in the buisness and you all know it!Lebynthos said:The fuck he is.Renamedsin said:Anyway, Dio is and will always be the God of metal.
The Dio years of Sabbath were nothing compared to the Ozzy years. If anyone is/was a god of metal, it's Chuck Schuldiner.
For me its often the latter, faces with names. Why, who died?Kimarous said:How come whenever a celebrity dies, I have absolutely no idea who the person is? Seriously. Looking back add the various celebrity deaths over the past year, the only one I even remotely recognized was Ronnie James Dio.
Am I culturally illiterate? Am I too young to know who they are? Is my disdain for what qualifies for a "celebrity" blocking out the really good talent? Do I just pay attention to the media but pay no heed to the folks behind it? Or is it just my inability to match faces with names at work?
It's entirely possible that they just weren't the celebrities you're familiar with. The only recent deaths that I noticed were those of Paul Gray (bassist of Slipknot, a band I used to be a huge fan of), and Dennis Hopper (Who shouldn't really need any introduction, as he's a pretty memorable actor).Kimarous said:*snip*
