Hm...nothing comes to mind - I've generally improved, probably because I've never really stopped gaming and I occasionally go back to the classics. Zelda II is all the ass-kicking side-scroller practice you need to stay in shape.

My recent return to Star Fox 64 was sloppier than it was when I "mastered" the game going for maximum kill scores and getting medals on every stage (in both difficulty modes), but I still beat it handily. I'm sure if I practice with it for a few days rather than just picking it up and playing for a couple hours I'd be hitting the high marks again, but I don't care to - I already hit the high marks, why would I spend time doing it again just to see if I could? Nah.

If I had to guess I would bet my performance now vs. then would be most noticeably worse on Wolfenstein 3D. Not because that was an especially hard game, mind you, but because I was absolutely immersed in that game for years. I literally had every map in the game memorized (except for the secrets - I just memorized the actual maps). A few of my family members also played it and whenever they'd get stuck they'd just ask me to help; I'd walk in, look at the screen, know instantly where they were and explain where to go for the keys they needed and the exit, then go back to whatever I was doing. There's no way I could get that back without some serious study time.
