How did you stumble onto The Escapist? For me I googled MoH Airborne review and I noticed a cartoon thumbnail so I clicked on it and I was witness to my first Zero Punctuation video. I probably watched the video 5 times laughing my ass of each time. Then I forgot about it til Nov of last year when I set up my account.
Exactly the same except I googled "Fallout 3". And I'm really glad I clicked that thumbnail.

Through Ctrl+Alt+Delete which lead me to the splitreason where I was curios about all those clothes, talking about the escapist.

Yep, that's the story of great valour and bravery.

I was a huge fan of Planet Half-Life and there was a time when the site was pretty busy covering news about everything Half-Life related, including mods and their releases.

Back then, the reviews of the Orange Box started to pop up everywhere, but one particular review caught their attention, a so called "Zero Puncuation" and they linked the video. That was the very first review I've ever seen of ZP and yes, ZP introduced me to The Escapist.

Then a few days/weeks later, a new story related to ZP appeared, about Valve inviting Yahtzee himself to their headquarters.

I used to play this Adventure game called 5 Days a Stranger......
Finally another one! I played 5 Days a Stranger, 7 Days a Skeptic, Trilby's Notes and 6 Days A Sacrifice. I also enjoyed his other stuff, such as Chris and Trilby and the Duke Nukem ad-on he made. I checked on to his site and found out that the youtube videos with Zero Punctuaction he made earned him a job, so I clicked the link and loved the reviews. I started checking The Escapist every week for his reviews then with time I learned that I enjoyed other things too (When Unskippable joined the crew). Then at last I started reading articles and joining the forum.

A friend showed me the Zero Punctuation video for Farcry 2. I watched his videos for a while and eventually made an account. It filled the void left by the death of the Elder Scrolls forums.

A friend showed me ZP on Youtube. Yahtzee moved. I followed him to the Escapist but I didn't join for two years. Now I wish I had...

Saw the first two ZPs on Youtube, joined the escapist shortly after Yahtzee got his third video out or something.

Didn't really start posting for a while after that though.

A classmate showed me and a few others Zero Punctuation, which I then started to watch in my own time, as well as other videos.

After lurking around for a year, I finally came to the conclusion that this place was really good and the forums were quite interesting, I made the decision to join.
