I know people are getting sick an tired about Avatar forums, but here goes anyways. Avatar is a great movie, no doubt there, but how did you feel when it finished? Did it change your outlook on some things? Did it make a twinge in the back of your mind? Did anyone else finish the movie and look around at all the garbage in the theater and think about the beautiful rain forests and stuff on our own planet and go "well... ... ...fuck."

I didn't like Avatar for some reason. I was able to sit through it without complaining, and when it was finished, I pondered over the plot and thought how bland and predictable it had been. All I could think about when leaving was, "It was good, but how come I didn't enjoy it?"

EDIT:

This comment made me laugh. I feel cheated now.

Good movie, Didn't really make me feel anything afterwards.
I felt during the Movie, but it takes something truely special to make me feel after the movies gone away.

The most I've felt AFTER a movie was probably... Schindlers List

Blown away and gibbering at how good it was.

Seriously, I've never been more in awe after a film.
Exactly my reaction. Although I could totally predict every turn in the film, I was shocked at how well everything worked.

Easily in on my Top 3 Films list.

This^

I was actually looking forward to it.
THen i watched it.
I paid 12 dollars to see a story I've seen hundreds of times already, but this time in 3D.
I liked District 9 more.
It was still a good film, its just....Its been done so many times before......I didn't find it really special i any way. Plus, I've seen better animation from Square Enix.

This. The quality of the film was awesome, but i didn't really enjoy it as a whole. I'm not entirly sure why...

You know, that movie was pretty awesome. I'm glad I got to see it for free...

Yeah, I work at a theater.

OT: I'm hoping the forests I'll actually go to (the ones across the street) are never torn down, because I go out there when I'm particularly stressed and just being in nature relaxes me.

I hated the movie - the one consolidation I had was it didn't pay a penny (I went with my Dad and younger brother) - not even on food (Cinema food is overpriced anyways).

It also meant that of all the movies I had seen this summer, they all sucked and I missed the only one that I had a genuine chance of liking (Which for those curious was District 9)

After two hours I was ready to go, the the three hour mark hit and I was like "jesus titty fucking christ! when will it end?!"

not that I didnt like it, just over three hours ina movie theater is just way too long a time.

I felt.........nothing.

It was an amazing movie and I loved it, but why would it change my outlook on anything?
It was just a movie - a brilliant one, but still nothing more than pictures on a screen.

fairly indifferent. It was fun, but it wasn't as good, or as bad as many make out.
