How did you find out about the escapist?

I'm just going to guess that this thread will be filled with Zero Punctuation mentions.

Yes, but mine is a FAR more arbitrary connection!

When I first got internet access (about 2 years ago) I used Firefox due to the praise I had heard about it. Still using it too.

Along with Firefox came StumbleUpon. Stumbleupon led me randomly to collectedcurios.com.

One of the sketchbook images that was up at the time was a picture of a headcrab sneaking up on a scientist wearing gag glasses, with the caption "headcrabs are sneaky bastards". The tagline he had for his image was that it was a gag ripped off from the first ZP the artist had ever watched.

When I went searching, I found the Torchlight review (which I had been playing for a while), and I was hooked.

Still didn't sign up for an account for about 3 months, though.

It's more like 100% of the Escapist....

At a friend's party one of his circle of friends was watching it, but I failed to remember the name of the Escapist or ZP. While I couldn't find it (I had nothing to go by other than "insanely simple character designs on a yellow background") I never forgot it. I eventually found my way back here when the dudes at Next Gen Walkthroughs talked about the inFamous episode (and later, the EP follow up). I clicked the link they provided and [HEADING=1]BAM![/HEADING] I watched it (and later, the DMC episode of Unskippable)

Unlike most of you I found it via ZP but I didn't really find the rest of the site that interesting until Russ Pitts took over and when I got more into the articles I made an account to discuss them on the forums and just expanded outwards from there.

Found Zero Punctuation on YouTube, found this site, watched all of them. Fast forward a few years later, and someone linked me to Zero Punctuation again, and I watched all of them again. This time around though I stayed for the forums and Loading Ready Run.

im one of the few people, who didn't find this site by zp (i believe i was googling something..and it came up exactly with a thread from this forum) and i clicked on it and liked what i saw, so made an account and joined in on the fun, haven't been dissappointed since.

i personally dont care for zp, respect what he does but its not for me

well after reading the Infamous article in wikipedia I saw a section there about a contest by guy named you guessed it Ben "Yatzhee" Croshaw against Prototype and followed the link and basically watched ZP every week
