Same way as everyone else, Yahtzee.
Ja, really.

I watched the FEAR Zero Punctuation on Funny Junk, but then forgot about it. A few months later, someone showed me the main site adn the rest of ZP. IT was love from there on out.

I was looking up a review for God of War 3 when I found Yahtzee's. I then proceeded to watch 3 years worth of zero punctuation...

I was stumbling around Youtube one day and I came across two ZP parody-type homage thingies (one was lame, one was great). Several months or a year later, I finally looked up the show and here I am.

Yahtzee, I couldn't quite comprehend a word he was saying but then I watched a couple of Extra Credits episodes and I liked them a bit, then I registered after some months.

so i guess Yahtzee brought me here, or more specifically, a friend showed me a few reviews, and i stuck around, lurking in the shadows reading topics and articles, then one day i was compelled to join just so i could post a reply in a topic i had just read, because of the idiot who started it was a massive tool. and then i never left, i've been sleeping on the escapist's couch since december

A friend showed me a ZP review and I thought it was pretty good. Then he showed me Extra Credits and I was hooked.

Some abridger I briefly watched did a video to the ZP-themed video once, and linked the Escapist for those who don't know what ZP is.

I followed the link, watched the videos, made an account, etc.

Another forum I used to frequent, which no long exists. One of the people from the site had the following quote as their signature:

"It may be a pretty, well executed kick in the balls with the best of intentions, but at the end of the day you're still walking funny" - Yahtzee, on Bioshock

So I went to Youtube, searched Yahtzee Bioshock Review, found his Darkness and Fable reviews, and his video saying he's working for the escapist now. Came here and... well, now I'm here for ZP, Extra Credits, and pretty much everything LRR puts out.

I found this site when Extra Credits (don't remember what it used to be called) moved from youtube to the Escapist.

Many, many hours well spent on this site.
I don't think it used to be called anything. I think it was part of Daniel Floyd's thesis presentation(s). I watched them a while back and only recently learned that they had weekly installments here. Shortly thereafter I joined up and discovered all kinds of awesomeness. I must admit I feel a little late to the escapist party.

I was watching one of Bob Chipman's other shows and in one of them he gave himself a plug for one of his movie reviews on the Escapist.
