The title says it all. I found out about the escapist my freshman year of high school when I went over to a friends house to work on a school project, he ended up showing me a Zero Punctuation review(cant remember the exact review for the life of me). We ended up not getting a single thing done as we checked out the rest of the site.

What's your story?

EDIT:Yes this topic is overused.I just haven't seen it in awhile.

I can't remember for sure, but I think I found Yahtzee's original reviews on Youtube and followed his trail back here.

I honestly can't remember. I'd like to say it's an interesting story, but it probably isn't.

IMDB Links sent me to a blogger's top 10 best television episodes list on my birthday 2009. For some reason, Yahtzee's Super Smash Bros Brawl episode was on the list. I linked here, watched the episode, and was hooked. I lurked for a few months, but a little over 2 years ago I finally signed up and have been a proud 'Scapist since.

I have a hatred for Peter Molyneux, and my brother found Yahtzee's Fable review. I've been here since, although I've only been actually using the forums for the past few months even though I've been a member a bit longer.

I despise the Halo series and when three came out a friend linked me to Yahtzee's review.

I'm trying to think how I can say "inb4 Zero Punctuation" without actually saying it. Let's just say that I think a lot of the forumers here found their way in thanks to Zero Punctuation.

Someone posted Yahtzee's review of Bioshock on a website I frequent. Kept watching, kept lurking, found other video series I liked and finally signed up to talk bollocks with you lot.

A friend recommended 'Unforgotten Realms' to me. Couple months later I discovered the forums, and have been here ever since!

A friend showed me Yahtzee over a year ago, thought he was hilarious and continued to follow the show weekly.

Eventually I started watching other Escapist shows like Extra Credits, MovieBob and more recently The Jimquisition, as well as plenty of the written articles. I finally decided to create an account about a week ago.

A friend kept on bugging me to check out Zero punctuation so I typed it into google and The escapist was the first site to crop up. I clicked it, and the rest is history. Its hard to believe that was roughly 3 years ago. Time flies.

My good friend Jenova65 pretty much forced me to join. I do thank her for it.

Pretty much this... only earlier...

After anime viewings, the guy whose laptop was hooked up to the projector would put on ZP videos randomly while everyone chatted. A couple vids in any everyone would be watching/laughing/commenting etc.

Watching ZP on a lecture theatre wall with cinema quality audio is... different, shall we say.

I honestly don't remember how I found Zero Punctuation, but that's how I found this website, for sure.

Just like 90% of the other people on here.
