My friend recommended Zero Punctuation to me so I got into that quite a bit and eventually set up my profile when I saw discussions that I wanted to post on.
Zero Punctuation here, too. Since I had been viewing the forums and looking at some of the content on a regular basis, I figured I'd make a profile and join a community which shares many of my interests.
Found Extra Credits on YT > EC moved here > Explored the forums here a bit > Thought: 'Darn I want to reply' when reading a certain threat > Made account
My cousin showed me a Zero Punctuation video on his iPhone, and I really liked it, so he told me what website it was on. After that, I lurked around the site for a few weeks, and then I finally figured it was time to sign up and troll browse the Forums.
Friend showed me ZP. I then had a mooch around the rest of the site and saw there was a ton more stuff I liked on here. Made a profile, conversing began
I found the Escapist at first because a friend of mine told me about Unforgotten Realms. Then after being told of Zero Punctuation I finally decided to sign up.
first found it on the minecraft face book page when Yahtzee did a review on it. i didn't go on the site until a month or so later when i heard about march maham on notches twitter. then i made a profile to show support. then i looked at the other things on the site.
I came to the Escapist for Zero Punctuation, registered when Extra Credits made the jump, and actually became a regular when LoadingReadyRun signed on.
And, like everyone, I started posting when I saw something on the "hot threads" sidebar that pissed me off.
I found my way here through Yahtzee when he swapped from Fully Ramblomatic videos to Escapist's videos. And I made an account to enter into a competition, but since then subtle forum viewing.
I was actually searching online for essays and stuff on gaming, from people who want to analyze the medium in-depth. Stumbled upon The Escapist magazine, back when it was practically a scanned magazine and not much else. Good good stuff. Still enjoy the articles. Not sure why I ever entered the forums, forums make me angry and sad for humanity. But I guess I'm a bit of a masochist.
Way back when I was younger and much dumber I was watching G4TV and I watched X play a lot and at one point in time they started showing little bits of Zero Punctuation and after being curios enough I came to the website and I was astounded by what I found. after lurking the boards for awhile I made an account and the rest is history.
I don't remember why I made an account, but I'm pretty sure I was on Vent with some friends playing games and someone linked a Yahtzee video.
Edit: Wow, I've been here almost three years now...I post a lot more now than I used to, though.
Edit2: I went back and found my first post.

Zelda. It was probably the first game I really played and knew what I was doing at the same time. I remember beating it and being insanely proud of myself. I was probably 7 or so. I accredit Zelda to giving me a passion for gaming.
