Pff, friend showed me Yahtzee's Orange Box video when that came out then I just started hanging around here, but I didn't actually make an account until few days after they implemented the whole "badge" system, back in, um, 2009.

So technically I've been on this site since 2007, but didn't officially join until 2009.

It was pretty much Yatzee first two videos (Fable and The Darkness reviews) on his Youtube channel that lead me to this site. Granted it took a couple of years for me to join as I lurk on this site for a while (and why didn't I joined sooner).

I remember watching Doraleous and Associates a few years back, but never joined the site. Later on I found Zero punctuation, followed it back to the Escapist, and found me some quizzes that forced me to sign up. Well worth it for the quizes alone if you ask me.

Yahtzee's videos as well. Saw his first two on youtube and then it led me here.
Still amazed at how well people discuss in here.
It surprised me as well. With the internet how it is, the moderators must be working night shifts to keep it clean.

A user who I don't think really comes on any more (Jenova65) pretty much forced me to sign up. I did but never actually used the site for another 6/7 months.

Someone told me about PurePwnage years ago, and one of their videos has a parody of a yahtzee one. Started watching yahtzee videos after that and eventually started looking around the rest of the site.

This. To this day it's still how I get here, and browse forums and stuff. Like I just click my bookmark, get to Yahtzee page, and go from the bar thing that shows up on the right and tells me all the info about newest threads and shiz. I could be normal, but this works so whatever.

Yahtzee brought me to the site, the discussion and people made me join and stay on the forums. Probably the most common story as to why people are here, to be honest.

I was looking up a review for Halo Wars, and I found Yahtzees video about it (Not helpful in the slightest, but hilarious nonetheless), I then realised that he had a series and I eventually watched more of his videos, then I branched out to Extra Credits and Unforgotten Realms, all before I found the forums and thats when I made my account.

I was showed yahtzee by my cousin who probably just wanted to distract me for a few hours. I was bored a few months later and remembered him so I looked him up and found here.

I happened across a link to ZP's Halo 3 review on Gametrailers, and I've been lurking here ever since.

I was on an MMO kick and looking for a sci-fi one to get into back in 2007. Googling happily away, I found Yahtzee's (at the time, quite recent) review of Tabula Rasa (dodged a bullet there. Thanks, Ben)... found it funny, bookmarked it and kept coming back. Took me a long time to make an account and get into the forums, though.

Probably the most common story, friend showed me Zero Punctuation and then I ended up staying for the forums.

Like everybody else, a friend showed me Zero Punctuation. I got into the other video series going around at the time (unforgotten realms, doomsday arcade) and lurked the forums for about two years before an apocolypse-themed quiz coaxed me into joining.

I have a feeling I am going to be ninja'd by quite a few people who will have in turn have been ninja'd by you.

I'll just use an OP for a thread I made for the same topic.

Make that every day for 3.5 years now.

A wave of new users usually join in March Mayhem, when it comes to shows it will be Zero Punctuation, Extra Credits and Jimquisition. Although a group left when Extra Credits did, I think.
