How did you find The Escapist?

I was Googeling for information about the movie "Escape from L.A.", when i enterd "Esca-" "The Escapist" showed up as one of the suggestions... i clicked on it out of curiosity, discoverd the site's many interesting features, never left.

- Do i win a prize for the most original reason? :]

A friend linked me to ZP and I had a quick browse through the forums and thoroughly laughed my socks off so I joined and didn't post anything till like a month later.

I was on my old forums (oblivionsource.com) and someone linked a ZP review of Oblivion. I thought it was hilarious so I saw more, and when OSource died, I moved here.

My brother linked Zero Punctuation once to me so...yeah. I got in the most popular way I guess.

I can't goddamn believe that only ONE person has thus far NOT mentioned ZP as at least one of if not THE main reason. I guess it goes to show just what types of persons feel most inclined to debate (but not read - important distinction since there are far more passive readers than posters) on the Escapist.

Really, I'm guessing that this site has a lot of forum posting traffic figures to thank to the cynical Brit.

Like most, it was ZP. I used to be a member of the Gametrailers forums (godawful place) and a guy made a thread about his new review, so I checked it out and loved it. It took me like 2 years to eventually discover that the Escapist forums are awesome with great, friendly people on it (you legend, you!) and immediately left the terrible Gametrailers forums and never looked back!
