México, why?? something wrong??
three magic kings........

i now noticed i may have put that a tad strong. m'sorry
haha, dont worry, it sounded more of "surprise" than and insult (or at least i read it that way)

and yeah, i am not even sure that my family tradition is what everyone else in Mexico does, i mean, i know that santa is supposed to come and such, but santa never came (my dads explanation?? santa serves halve the world and the three magic kings serve the other halve)
...
...

I just remembered that in school they asked "what did santa brought you this christmas?" and i said "NOTHING!! but the three magic kings brought me blablabla" and everyone looked at me funny...

weird... hahaha

Oh, God. It was so horrible. It was Christmas Eve. I was 9 years old. Me and Mom were decorating the tree, waiting for Dad to come home from work. A couple hours went by. Dad wasn't home. So Mom called the office. No answer.
Christmas Day came and went, and still nothing. So the police began a search. Four or five days went by. Neither one of us could eat or sleep. Everything was falling apart. It was snowing outside. The house was freezing, so I went to try to light up the fire. That's when I noticed the smell. The firemen came and broke through the chimney top. And me and Mom were expecting them to pull out a dead cat or a bird. And instead they pulled out my father.
He was dressed in a Santa Claus suit. He'd been climbing down the chimney... his arms loaded with presents. He was gonna surprise us. He slipped and broke his neck. He died instantly. And that's how I found out there was no Santa Claus.

Oh wait, that was someone else..
i hate you for making me laugh about that...

i wasnt sure if it was true or not, and i was reading it halve laughing and halve guilty

I HATE MIXED EMOTIONS!!!

(i´m gonna cry on the corner over there)

There was an episode of the Phresh Prince of Bel Air where Will mentioned that Santa wasn't real at some point.

I got wise around age 7, just a guess really. I asked my parents, and they said he wasn't real. They never really tried too hard anyway, they didn't like the whole shenanigan either.

we never ever believed in Santa, for us Santa was my granpa giving the gifts from the exchange in christmas eve

but we do believe in the 3 mage kings (how do you call them in english??) Melchor Gaspar and Baltazar
The three wise men.
really?? the three wise men???...

...

...

i like my countries version better, it states that they are Magic... and Kings!!
Well they are technically kings, but they are more often referred to as the Three Wise Men, and are really only called Kings in song.

This thread... T.T
Kidding, obviously. I just kinda figured it out using logic by the time I was 9.

If you ask my parents, apparently, I never believed in santa. However, my brother worked it out when he found all of our presents in my parents wardrobe. He was only about 4. So my family never bothered about the whole santa thing.

I was about 6-7 when I used logic and figured out Santa wasn't real. One kid I know didn't figure it out untill he was over 13.

We didn't really have Santa, we had this little crossdresser: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sinterklaas

I think I hired someone to look into it for me. Not sure though, everything from my choldhood is a bit fuzzy. Except Pokemoon, of course.

For me it was the year I got a Sega Genesis for a present. It was a great present. Dont misunderstand, but for some reason, I had my suspicions that the "From Santa" tag was a lie. I asked my dad later in the day and he fessed up to the truth.

I just figured. Though my mother still tries to convince me he is real.

I asked. Just one night:

"Mom, is Santa real?"
"No."

And then apparently my first reaction, though I don't remember it, was:

"So you made me wait in all those long lines for nothing?!"

I was like 7 or 8 at the time. Of course I had my suspicions before said event; I wasn't a complete moron.
