I was in the unfortunate position of having a dad that plays video games and the fortunate position of having a grandfather who plays video games. Anything that was to violent or sexual for my dad to approve I just went to my grandfather for and left at his house. By the time I was 13-14 I could just play whatever I wanted. Now that I have 2 younger brothers in the house I feel like they are lucky to have a video game playing family. I have enough general knowledge about what games are out and what kind of content is in them I can be smart about what they are allowed to play. No blanket ban on M rated games but at the same time some T games are off limits. Just let them play what we think they are mature enough to handle. Halo no problem, The Witcher 2 yea right.
