Yeah, like everyone else said - ZP got me into it.
Actually I registered good 6 months(if I am correct) after I first noticed ZP, back then it was the only thing I wanted to visit on this website.
By the way, you wouldn't like to know what website brought me here. Lets just say that it begins with a digit and has multiple boards.

Been here back when The Escapist had a more Magazine-ish Layout (Joined the Forum much later).

I think one of the guys from Penny Arcade wrote an article here and linked to it.

someone linked to ZP on toucharcade. never seen so many people probed, suspended, and banned before - id hafta say this is the strictest site i've evar used.

btw you should turn this into a poll: "linked for ZP" or "Other"

From the guy that sells crack down the road, he told me to check out zero punctuation. He said the review for Bioshock was funny as hell.

Seriously, a drug dealer told me about it. I never bought from him though.

Road in the sense that a dorm room hallway is a road.

Via ZP I believe. Well, a friend first showed me a ZP review of Halo and I found it to be hilarious but I never pursued it further. Months went by until one day I randomly typed in a bunch of words on Google to find game reviews and BAM it took me to ZP again and by proxy..the Escapist.

I knew about Yahtzee when he was still on Youtube. When he moved to The Escapist I came with him. I only recently decided to take part in the forums, until then I only wanted to watch his videos.

Like nine nine percent of everything I hear; through the grape vine

Oh and ZP, I believe it was the Saints Row 2 one I saw first

I can't recall exactly - because I remember watching ZP on YouTube back in the day, before it was on the Escapist...might have been one of the staff text reviews?

I came here in what, 2006? 07? and lurked for years. I mainly just stuck to the ZP vids but would sometimes read the articles. Then one day I decided I wanted to comment something so I joined in the forums in 09. Have been here since.

A friend of mine showed me an episode of Kung-fu-grip, the final fantasy if my memory serves me. I stayed on the site for a while watching other thing then decided to become a member, i have no regrets. :D

From Shamus Young's TwentySided [http://www.shamusyoung.com/twentysidedtale/] blog, from before he started doing series for the Escapist. A lot of posters there (as well as Shamus) talked about the Escapist, so I finally figured I'd check it out. Then after a while made an account to post...something on the forums. Since then I've basically lurked a lot.

I got to Shamus' blog through a link to his DM of the Rings webcomic, probably from the old WotC DnD forums. I was independently introduced to the ORIGINAL Unforgotten Realms vids - which I actually like better... - from those forums as well, so hearing that the Escapist was going to revive it was a big reason to stay. The more time I spent with the site, the more things I kept on reading/listening to, and I've been mostly content so far. It seems funny that I hadn't heard of ZP at all until a little while after I got here, though naturally I picked up watching it later.

My brother's older friend told me about it when he submitted Doomsday arcade into the website, Michael Shanks. Well actually it might of been he told my brother and he told me which is more likely but yeah, basically through doomsday arcade.
