I group it in my mind in the same place as websites like Break.com and CollegeHumor (EDIT: And FunnyJunk.com) so I intentionally avoid it because I don't want to catch the stupid

It is actually based on facts and many of the articles are about proving "common knowledge" being completely false.

Probably when Sean Riley moved there. I had prior knowledge of the guy, started reading the articles, laughed my ass off and then found out he was on this website called Cracked.

Cracked is really entertaining, by the way. I probably spent more time on it than I did on TV Tropes.
