My first time was when I was 6 with that adorable yellow circle and his dead amigos: Pac-Man.

Loved that man, we still talk occasionally but our relationship has never been the same. =/

My first computer was a cassette tape computer. The games were such as The Simsons, The Jetsons, Mummy, Fast Food (I think this was related to Pac-Man but can't find it on the internet to know for sure. It doesn't look quite like the Pac-Man fast food). After that, my next computer aloud me to play floppy disks which meant Flight Simulator, Space Invaders, Tetris, Chips Challange e.t.c.

Once i got a CD computer i went nuts with all sorts of games. I can't actually remember what my first ever CD game was which i wish i could, would be nice to remember, but ive been hooked ever since.

Pong on the original Atari, when I was about 6 (circa 1982). Then Choplifter, 1942, Impossible Mission & Jack Attack on the Commodore 64. Jack Attack, 1942 & Impossible Mission are still games I love to this day and are still very difficult. Also, I remember playing Artillery Duel on my High Schools BBC computers in 1989-90(small country school).

Let's see....I remember it like it was over a decade ago...*screen ripple into flashback*

I was looking around the closet in the dining room for something to eat (this wasn't the pantry, but my parents had a habit of hiding sweets in there sometimes, and I was desperate. Instead, I pull out a Sega Genesis cartrige box, Mortal Kombat. Eventually convincing my Dad to plug it in and let us try it (myself and my younger brother)...well, let's just say Sub Zero was my favorite. Anyway, the first game I really enjoyed that came after that (like, MK was okay, but REALLY enjoyed) was the gem of a game Rocket Knight Adventure, staring an armored possum with a jet pack and swords, fighting giant deformed robots driven by pig monsters that were clearly the time traveling spawn of Ganon (or not. Not sure which came out first, and I actually suspect it was Zelda, so maybe not...), trying to rescue the princess, beat a renegade Rocket Knight and stop the world by being destroyed by...well, I won't spoil it. Definitly a great game. Fantastic music for the time too.

*end flashback*

So yeah. The first time it became clear that I was really a gamer though, was the eventual purchase of an N64 and getting a copy of the Legend of Zelda, Occarina of time. First big game I ever played and have loved much of the series since.

Sonic 1. Needless to say, I've become quite jaded watching him spiral into mediocrity, and outright failure, almost like when an old crush turns into a vulgar tart. *sigh*

"Starfleet Command" or "Anarchy Zone" on the Acorn Electron, good little system for a cut down Beeb Micro.

Ooh and what about Stunts [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stunts_%28video_game%29]? :)
My first "3D" game ever (or was that Wolfenstein 3D?) :)

First proper game was Dino Crisis, when I used to watch my uncle play, and then proceed to complete myself. It was a long time ago?

Does anyone remember Dino Crisis?
Yeah. I still play that game. It's great.

On the console it was either Gauntlet or 1942, both for the Commodore 64, but for a game played on a PC was on a Macintosh 512. I can't remember the name but it was a black and white air hockey game.
