A cheat from the first Age of Empires game (PHOTON MAN) which gave you a nuclear trooper. It just got catchy, so... yeah.

I then randomly added the number 62 on the end.

People who HAVE played AoE with cheats call me E=MC2 TROOPER, since that was a cheat for a very similar unit.

Mine's easy: I've always wanted to digitize my consciousness and abandon my flesh. Hence, a Mind in Solid State... it's much more elegant, I think, than plain ol' "cyborg" or "robot", and since it wouldn't be artificial, "AI" really doesn't apply.

I got this nickname before I started using it for my online screen name. I was at work in receiving and my friend who worked up front was choosing nicknames for everybody, I usually wore my Night of the Living dead hoodie so he deemed me Zombie beard. I loved it and so it stuck.

The Captain bit's an inside joke with a mate, as I am 'Captain of the Chains' in our little random roleplay that occurred about two years ago, and the Maku bit is short for 'Makuya', which means both 'wolf' and 'free spirit'.

Maku is also the name of my alter ego 8D

Honestly, when I was a kid playing RE2... I got that weapon and was all like "AWESOME" and chose that as my internet handle.

... It's been like, 8 years now and I haven't changed it... mostly because I don't like to constantly change user names.

I thought, what sounds gamer AND cool? the Las Plagas from RE means the Plague, so I just called myself one of the plagued, obviously. Not that complicated.

Ah, I remember those units. I only ever used the cheats once to see what they did back in the day, 'cause they always finished the levels too quickly, I found XD

I was in a very uninteresting biology class a few years ago, and I and my friend decided to give all her pens a name that started with an R. I don't remember why but it seemed like a reasonable and good idea at the time. We named one of them Rory and a few days later I was creating a profile on some website and needed a name and Rory was the first that came to my mind.

I never played with cheats, actually :/

I just read a list of them, lol :D

Edit: I just noticed I placed an emoticon in every line of text just now.

It's my deviantART name, as well as Akuji meaning "dead and awake" and Delano meaning "of the night"

"Jinky" came from misheard lyrics from "Brass Monkey". They said "Me and the crew were drinkin' Brass Monkey", but because of how they said it, I thought they said "Me and the crew and jinky Brass Monkey". I had no idea what the word meant, but it sounded cool.

"Williams" is the black guy from Enter the Dragon. He's funk, jive, disco, afro, kung-fu and a bunch of cool things (too bad he dies). The name just kinda flowed together well.

Back in 00, I was playing Worms Armageddon and made a name for the top-level AI team leader: "Jinky Williams".

About two weeks later, I realized that Jinky Williams was too cool of a name for an AI opponent, and started using it for THPS2. Usage just kind of expanded from there, with friends, family, associates and co-workers calling me it. Been using it for just shy of a decade now for everything I've done online. You can Google "Jinky Williams" (including quotation marks) and anything that comes back will be related to me.

Sgt Shock was a character in Timesplitters 2, also in my avatar. I'm so original.

Orannis was the villain from the second and third books in the Abhorsen trilogy. Thought he was badass (even though he's essentially a giant metal sphere), here's some background:
In the beginning of this book universe, there were 9 Bright Shiners, incredibly powerful beings. The first seven were good, and in order of increasing power were: Ranna, Mosrael, Kibeth, Dyrim, Belgaer, Saraneth, and Astarael. The 8th, Yrael, was not good, but nor was he evil. The 9th and most powerful, Orannis the Destroyer, almost brings about Armageddon several times, including the one time in the actual books. He's so badass that the reincarnations of the first Seven combined can't seal him without help from Yrael.

Earlier in my life, I liked some games that SEGA made, plus I watched RobotWars alot. I thought it was kinda catchy.
