How did you pick your username?

I'm curious how people here chose their username. Unlike an avatar, a username can't be changed on a whim, and personally it's the primary way I recognize posters.

Personally, I've been using the name Neuromaster for probably about a decade. Started as a Counter-Strike nick when I was reading a lot of William Gibson. I was a big fan of his Neuromancer. I didn't want to copy it directly, but I wanted something that rolled off the tongue in a similar way. I've used a few other handles over the years, but I keep coming back to it.

So how about it? Was it a spur-of-the-moment thing, or is there a story behind your internet name?

Ive used it since about 2004. Its just DOTA with extra letter thrown in to sound nice. Incidentally I think it means something in Japanese. Not positive though.

It was a nickname I was given when I was really young by my sister. I really like it, and I use it as my online name now.

I'm considering changing the "m" to a capital letter though. Think I should?
It's now upper-case.

Its the name of my favorite song in the Gears 2 soundtrack. I thought it was a neat name.

I got mine from a nickname that was given to me as a kid. I wear it proudly.

I got mine from what I played D&D with my friends. Played as a halfling named Milo Hugo Windby and I kind of just fell in love with the name. Been using it for six or more years now.

Well everybody calls me Mozza.
That's usually taken.
So I added a 4 as that is my favourite number.
That was also taken.
It then recommended Mozza444, so I chose that and used it ever since it's never taken.

I wouldn't call nine my lucky number though, it just seems to follow me around a lot, or maybe that's just me being paranoid.

and then i used the four most northeast keys to form the rest of the word.
reason? there is none.

Iv always like the way Giga sounded, and when i started becoming a member of different sites i knew i wanted to use it.
But to make it longer i started thinking of something to add to then end, and Megaman came to mind.
Not wanting it to be a direct rip-off i decided on Gigaguy
And i added the 64 because the Nintendo 64 was one of my favorite systems as a kid.
