"Hitler couldn't have won and the war was a foregone conclusion from the outset" is very much in Vogue in historical circles right now. I'm ambivalent towards it because this position requires ignoring the extreme levels of mismanagement in the Soviet army early in Operation Barbarossa, just how close the Germans came to capturing Stalingrad and it requires ignoring the absolute Gut Punch to enemy morale the first use of nuclear weapons would be.

In fiction, probably my favorite "Germany Wins WWII" novel/movie is Fatherland by Robert Harris. The scenario depicted makes sense to me. To sum up, the D-day landings are a massive and immensely costly failure, Germany wins the Battle of Stalingrad and the German nuclear program succeeds leading to the use of nuclear weapons on the Eastern Front. Great Britain surrenders shortly thereafter because the Germans could nuke the British mainland with impunity. This leads to a Cold War between Germany and the United States and a Vietnam situation for Germany in Siberia. The Red Army might not be able to fight them toe-to-toe any longer, but they have forced the Germans into a constant war with insurgents that's bleeding Germany white.

I'd recommend at least checking out the TV movie with Rutger Hauer. It is quite good by HBO TV movie standards, and gets a surprising performance out of someone who, until that point, I viewed as a washed up B-list action star.
