I like Taylor Swift and I also like Killswitch Engage and Thousand Foot Crutch. So that's country, metal and, according to iTunes, Christian Rock. So I'd say I like a wide variety of bands and genres.
Ah man, I used to like you Sasquatch. :D
What band do you take distaste to, my good sir?
...all of them. Except Thousand Foot Crutch (Never heard of them) but to each his own I suppose.
Well, tell me what bands you listen to and I'll criticize them.

Anyway of all the above artists, I only like one or two songs anyways.
Keep in mind that I do not like all of the songs by these bands, only most of them.

The Doors
The Jimi Hendrix Experience
The Beatles
Led Zeppelin
Louis Armstrong
Django Reindhart
Mr. Bungle
Peeping Tom
Tomahawk
Beethoven
Tchaikovsky
Stevie Ray Vaughn
Primus
Bob Marley
Rush
Ray Charles
Stevie Wonder
Elvis
Secret Chiefs 3

I have more but I'm trying to keep this list short.

Strokes to Hypocrisy
Soundgarden to Hives
Children of Bodom to Jedi Mind Tricks
Arctic Monkeys (old stuff :|) to Seatbelts
The Who to Red Hot Chilli Peppers
Pendulum to The Jimi Hendrix Experience
BB King to Brad Sucks

Classical is pretty boring. I also enjoy jazz and funk a lot but I can't ever find a single artist (hence I love my GTA radio station collection). Can't stand new 'hip hop' or rap or whatever the hell, nor can I stand pop (How often can a single human being say "Tonight's gonna be a good night"?!)

(C)rap and Ophera... They should die.

I just can't stand rap and ophera. Am I even spelling that right? But don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE musicals, just not... the Big O, no thanks but I may not be able to sing, but I'd like to at least sing along without breaking my voicebox. And my crib with rap is; why is it so boring? You can replace any lyrics and most of the time the music is easily swapped. Thats not to say there aren't a few gems amongst the Rap. Gangsters Paradise is definately one of the more intereasting ones and is on my list of top ten music songs of all time. In fact anyone who doesn't like it needs to be buried in a moss pit... Which means I need to get out the shovels because my dad needs burrying right away.

Though overall, J-Pop, I like it, I taught myself to read foriegn languages as just another instruments so I can be a rabid anime fan (those were the days...) once. That spell has past but I still have a collection of jpop songs that forever locked into my heart. Actually this is why I can't stand rap, when I vision it as another instrument I feel like that instrument is nothing more then a pencil banging on a table.

Rock and metal is what I worship and I have a lot of game music on the side, my brother's influence... Classical I have a taste in that too.

Anything else, so long as its not slow, repeatative and boring is fine.

I mainly listen to old punk and traditional folk. But I also enjoy Chet Baker (jazz), The Streets (hard to describe), Elvis and Misfits.

Well, that is quite a list, of those that I've heard of I have marked with an x, but alas, have never listened to or only listened to a couple of songs. But you have a good taste in music.

Also, why does everyone dislike country?

I recommend looking up some of the ones you don't know, although Mr. Bungle is too weird for most people .

Anything but techno/club/dance/trance. Oh, and scream/death metal. If its harder than Megadeth, I don't care for it.
Yup. Although I can listen to dance hall (only Sean Paul, though), I listen to the old rap, rock, some metal, folk songs, punk, soul, r&b, pop and... did I miss something? And Goth, as in - Voltaire.

But there are some artists I will never listen for pleasure. Lady Gaga is one of them... I'd rather listen to "sweet love rap" by Akon than to her "songs".

I listen to a wide variety of stuff, not so much much as other people here, but I don't really care. I probably like at least one artist from most genres, but I'm not too bothered really. What else do you need other than ska?

Any genre, except perhaps rap and those 'indie' bands that have really whiny sounding singers, they really grate on my eardrums. Oh, and the Hannah Montana brand of pop-rock D :

I am quite picky about what music I like though, for instance, though there are actually quite a few exceptions, I almost only listen to music with female singers. Dunno why, it's probably more out of habit than anything, but still.

I have quite a specific taste in music, as I absolutely hate basically all commercial music - well, at least where I live - and I think it should be damned to hell. I like most sub-genres of 'Electronica', especially 'Drum N Base'. However I don't like excessive 'Techno' where the only instrument used is pretty much a synthesiser and possibly an electric keyboard too. Other than that, I also like Symphonic Metal, however not much music is created in that genre. Overall, I have quite a demanding "taste" in music so I wouldn't consider mine as being diverse.

Well, I pride myself on liking at least one song from every genre. But the problem is I only like *one* song in a couple of them:

Reggae: 1
Country: 2
Rap: probably 5 or 6, no more than 10
Hip Hop: 1
R&B: 1

You get the picture. My music tastes aren't that varied; mostly metal and hard rock, with some punk, classic rock, and pop thrown in there.
