So we are doing a history day project where we can chose a specific event or period of history that was a turning point, or had a lasting effect, in the grand scheme of things. I decided to do a topic that nobody else would think of and went with the Sengoku Jidai because, like an idiot, I thought it would be cool to use Shogun 2 and Civilization 5 as a primary source document in my project. Problem is, I have no idea how I would cite a video game, or how I would use a quote from, say, the Civilopedia, in my report.

So the simple question is: How do I cite a videogame in MLA format?

CAPTCHA: Road less traveled. Yeah, you could say that...

Title of game. Version number. Date of version. Publisher. Date of access.

At least, that's my assumption.

Aren't they secondary sources since they were created after the event?
