How do people get so many posts?

Ive been here for a long time lurking in the shadows but no user groups or forum games for me so i have a very low post count

I can't speak for everyone, but I've only been here for about 2 or 3 weeks and I already have 100 posts. I'm sure my post count will grow at a good steady rate.

That sounds about right...I've been here since 2009 and have as high a number as I do because of how often I post in the general forums.

I haven't even cracked 100. And I lurk in the forums everyday. Not even a shy guy..just usually find that my opinion's already been voiced.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing I've never seen my post count go up from User Group posts.

TBH, I never looked, because I never thought that would be a thing. Most places count your post count based only on the forum.

I've heard forum games and (active) user groups were key. Mine are just gaming or off topic forum posts.

I find cheating to be the most convenient way.

You can do it either by breaking into the Escapist servers and using difficult command lines to raise your post count or, if you're not that tech-savvy, doing it the old fashioned way and kidnapping Kross' loved-ones.

Eclipse beat most everyone else to it, but yes, if you really want to boost your post count just participate in forum games and user groups. Or just post in every thread you see.

Forum Games is only part of the equation. Having fun with friends who also post in Forum Games is basically what did it for me.

I struggled to hit 5000 for the first year of me being here. Then I met people in FG. Time flies. XD

I had far too much free time, and I was entertained by Forum Games for a few years. Those silly diversion account for pretty much all of my posts. Enough banal bullshit has flown through my fingers to drown half of a decent sized town!

OT: Well some of us frequent the Forum Games forum and have fun there, then there is the RP group, then user groups. I've been here for quite a while and mainly my post count comes from Forum Games. Doesn't really matter much though, it's just a number.

Seriously, posting rate slows down considerably when you become a mod.

No. The tech team notices when people do that, and they insta-ban[footnote]That's right, no warnings or suspensions or anything. It's an automatic ban for doing that.[/footnote] anyone they find doing it.

It's happened to 2 people that I know of. There've possibly been others too (that I don't know of).
