I haven't shaved fully in 2-3 years, I use an electric trimmer to keep it short but there's always something there. How often I do this varies. I tend to alternate between this:

And this:

With varying levels in between.

I shave in the shower usually. Sometimes I use soap, sometimes shaving cream. I always use a razor, a relatively simple three bladed number.

Sometimes I just keep it neat, you know, get rid of the neckbeard because it itches like a bastard, sometimes I shave completely, mostly when I fuck up.

It really depends on how I feel because I don't have a job that requires me to be clean shaven.

I'm blonde but I get a heavy dark beard... weird. Stopped shaving in November for Movember and only trimmed up a bit and removed the mustache part because I couldn't figure out a way to wear it that didn't irritate the fuck out of me.
Since then I just trim beard and shave certain patches that grow weird on the upper cheek areas and of course that damn mustache.

The razor:

Provides a close shave, is basically indestructible and the blades are cheap as fuck.

The method:
Sunday: "Super-shaving". Shave initially with the grain. Once finished lather up again and shave against the grain.
Wednesday (if needed): Shave with the grain

Wet razor.

I really dislike doing it as it, like another poster put it is closer to self harm than grooming. But, I have found that if I use a washcloth with very hot water to lay on my face for about a minute it actually becomes not only bearable but comfortable. The old school barbers had it right on that one. I never used electric, my beard would probably destroy one of those, butI would love to get a proper straight razor one of these days.

I only have to shave around once a week due to me starting late, so I'm rather lucky in that regard. Due to my long hair, I can also afford to be a little lazy with it since it can effectively conceal the sides of my face when I let it down. However, for the actual shaving part, I just use a standard razor and cream. It gets the job done fine. Then I use an electric razor to go over my neck and keep my beard and mustache trimmed down neatly.

I'm really not looking forward to the time when I have to start doing it on a daily basis though. That shit will get annoying in a hurry, I'm sure.

I used an electric shaver before, then when I started working I started having a wet shave cos electric shavers are shite and I had to look like I'd actually had one. I still only shave on work days though.

Electric mostly, its just more convenient with modern cordless and wet and dry washable electric shavers. They are great for when you want some stubble too, when I used razors I used to get those cheap Bic twin blade disposable razors. Just as good as the overpriced crap if you have a decent technique.

I use something that looks like this:

It only takes a few seconds, easy and painless. I honestly don't understand why anyone with working electricity WOULDN'T use something like this.

I shave once a day or once every other day, depending on whether I have to work or not.

Because every single electric razor I have ever tried has proved pathetically unequal to the task of cutting through my facial hair. I have tried that kind of razor, and it just starts pulling the hairs because they are too coarse for it.

Seriously, I am one of those guys with a face that destroys razors.

As for my habits... I tend to shave once every four days or so, simply because I can't be arsed to do it more often. I DO grow some pretty heavy facial hair in those few days, but I prefer to have some facial hair compared to none, although I hate the feeling of a full beard. It's just too much... stuff... on my face. Same reason I can't stand to have my hair more than a couple of inches long either.

It just feels irritating.

Usually I just shave in the shower with a crappy disposable razor (yes, I know they are crap, but my skin isn't very sensitive so I just use them anyway... somehow I still find they work better than any electric).

I do very much want to get a proper razor at some point, but I still haven't got around to it.

Dark brown hair here, with a relatively unkempt style. I usually use one of those big cheap electric razors/trimmers, as it doesn't leave me completely clean shaven so I still retain stubble. I have a sort of baby face when I go clean shaven...doing so has the lovely side effect of getting me carded everywhere I go.

I like my stubble. Especially one or two days after shaving...it's so soft. Almost like slightlymorestiff fur.

For more precise work, or when I need to for an occasion/job/etc. (my current occupation doesn't require diligence in this area) I use a battery operated gillette razor and gel.

Aftershave is a no. One horrific experience years and years ago and I've sworn off the stuff forever.

It burned for 15 hours... ;-;

I DON'T, BEARDGANG WOLFPACK!
I'm still in Sixth Form and people mistake me for being much older than I am. But shaving's a pain, I just don't do it.

Regular razor, in the shower, no cream. About once a week for my face, and daily for my funzone.

I wish I could shave in such a way that it always looks like I shaved about 3 days ago. That's when I got that sexy Jason Statham stubble going on.

As I let beards grow in thick for a while, I use the trimming part of my razor to mow it down to something that can be managed by the main section.

I use an electric trimmer-thingy so I'll keep some stub. Don't like being smooth in the face and the razor part of my... razor(it's a 2 in 1 machine!) is completely useless. Usually shave everything except my side burns and chin.
At the moment I haven't shaved in over a month though. Trying to find out if I'm beardable yet. The results are horrible.

Electric, and about once a week. Shaving with razors just seems bothersome. Not to mention expensive

Shaving my face is not a big deal. It grows slowly and it isn't too thick, once or twice a week with a wet razor, usually in the shower, because it's easy and I'm lazy.

Now pubic hair on the other hand...son of a *****, what a pain. It's more like a hedgehog spikes than hair, and avoiding razor burn is actually really hard. I may have been cursed by a witch with a strange sense of humor.

Electric shaver for me, but only occasionally since I maintain a beard, which I also use an electric beard trimmer to keep neat. Much more convenient than razors, which I've sometimes used and found annoying.
You should get a small pair of scissors and try using those to trim your beard. I find that preferable to an electric trimmer myself.
