Seriously, it doesn't matter what you say or what you're trying to get; girls want to date as much as you do, and girls want to fuck (almost) as much as you do. Just never stop trying.

Well, I used to get to know the person a bit, then I just asked her. If she said no, I moved on. But, I haven't done this in over three years because I don't date anymore. I just don't see the point.

Flowers and cards, chocolates or whatever else, it's all good but what really should sweeten your chances is the ability to go up, ask him/her out confidently. I ask people out by saying: "Hey, are you busy this weekend? Because there is a (insert anything you could do on a date), and I was wondering if you wanted to come with me."

With any luck, she will say yes. If she says no, than no skin off my back. Hell, maybe she said no because she wanted to do something at a later time...

The problem with upfront is that unless you have been obviously flirting with her it will be a surprise, and when surprised with offers people reject them out of habit.

So I ease into it.

Girls aren't stupid. Unless I'm in the friends zone she knows what I just did. But if it is a big thing (i.e. will you go out with me) she WILL get nervous and will probably say no.

As I've said before, I soooooooo wish I was brave enough to do that. And I'm kinda ashamed that I can't. One of the points of the Scout Law is Brave.

Yes, I am very shy around women I like. Well, that's not 100% true. I can talk to them about anything...except the fact that I like them.
