How do you beat Mass Effect twice (or more times)?

Just a little update... several people commented about how Mass Effect is pretty hard to get through up until you expose Saren and become a Spectre. That's about as far as I got before I made this thread. Since then I've tried playing it again and, well, it's a lot more fun now.

Still hard as hell for me to play as a renegade though. I'm getting paragon points even though I'm trying my absolute hardest to be a badass. >_>;;

So many people say they've played through both games tons of times. How? Is there a train of thought you have to follow or period of time you have to wait before you can immerse yourself into the experience again? I know it's a vague question, but hopefully at least one of you can help me out.

Give it some time and separation. Replaying the same game again immediately is a recipe for burnout. Play ME2 or Dragon Age or... Catherine or Assassins Creed Brotherhood or Saint's Row 2 or... something. Then, when you go back to play again, even if you know what's going to happen, you'll be fresh coming to it again.

I love ME2, but I couldn't play it through two times in a a row - I needed to go play something else first and then come back to it.

I'm on my third play-through. ^^ Still loving it.

I fuck everyone over my 1st playthrough. They are all bitches and hoes to Commander Shepard!
And then my 2nd play I lull them in with apologies and a false sense of security.
Then BAM my 3rd playthrough I join the Reapers! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Well theres your problem! You have to be a uber-dick to get renegade points.
Or, at least you need to that stupid reporter chick a couple times.
