The title says it all: how do you cheer yourself up?

Personally I like to watch some of my favourite sitcoms, they always manage to put a smile on my face

Do something I enjoy! Play a game, read/write a book, listen to some music, troll some band fanboys on YouTube, et cetera. If I feel really down, I'll tell someone I'm close to that I love them, that usually makes me feel a lot better.

Either watch Gintama or listen to this:

It does the trick most of the time =D
As it happens, I was in a bad mood, but that's cheered me up now :)

OT: Either talk to a friend or listen to some Korpiklaani

I tend to go online and watch some of my favorite clips of shows and just laugh silly until I forget about what I was getting me down in the first place.

I just pretty much look for funny video on Youtube that will get me to laugh.

I'll go watch some TV, probably a tried-and-true show, provided it's not crazy depressing (certain parts of BSG spring to mind). Or, if I don't want to watch TV, I'll find some not-sad music, probably from some soundtrack or other.

I jerk off. It works wonders.
Dammit you beat me to it.

If not that, then watch soap operas while crying and eating ice-cream. Watching those god awful actors shows me there is hope after all to make it, even if you suck at what you do.

But truly seriously, I play games. And blackadder. Blackadder always cheers me up.

Listen to some happy music, animate (or in your case, doing something you enjoy), watch some My Little Pony (again, watch your favorite show, not necessarily MLP), just do stuff I like.

Only when I'm really depressed. Most of the time video games suffice.
Nice one though i rather pick (took me half a minute to remember the english title >.<) :

As to ontopic

1) Icecream
2) Spend money (not always possible)
3) Gaming/movies

More or less in that order. Not much can beat icecream

I talk to my closest friends, which usually helps a lot. That or watch something funny.

This not only makes you feel better, but also the person you're telling it to! =D

EDIT: Ghibli! That's also a really good pick me up. Yeah, Ghibli is good at putting a smile on my face. Not just the movies, but the music too! Also that Ghibli metal album. It's something to jam to, but is still ridiculously happy at the same time!

A Hermit's Cave
1 - Play games, usually of the empire-building sort, even better if I've got elephants to go stomping about with.
2 - Listen to old episodes of News Quiz, because regardless of how out of context the news may be, the jokes never get old...
3 - Watch a fluffy/mushy film.

Usually does the trick...
