How do you creat a PSN Account?

I feel so embarrassed asking this but i recently finally got a ps3.

I've had a psp since launch so i have a psn account. When PSN came back i decided to try. I went sign up, filled in the info my of my account on my psp and it said were sending you an email to change your password.

I changed my password, went back to my ps3 clicked sign in to psn with existing account, filled in more info then sent me the same email about changing my password......

Ummmm what do i do? i have a bunch of PSone classics so i need to use this account.

What am i doing wrong am pulling my hair out here. Thank everyone so much in advance.

Alright so the whole psn debacle has made it neccesary to change your password. Since this is the first time your putting an account on your ps3 it wants you to change your password twice.(guess given how the password change works) I'd say change it one more time that or your are signing in the wrong way. To sign into your account the only thing you should have to do, since its already made just not on the system, is type in your email and password and click sign in. At this point did they say we've sent you an email? If it failed it should give you an error message those are really the two options from the sign in screen.

If you can't change your password one more time, confirm the email then sign in or just normally sign in right now(try this first) then there is one thing I can think of. That is your ps3 wants to access the store to make a final confirmation(I doubt this) and make a connection, the psn store is not up as of right now so you might have to wait.

Like I said try the above, if that doesn't work post on here again and take me through how your logging in using your ps3 step by step. As long as your account is made even if it is done through your psp there should be no problem accessing it so it must be a problem with your internet connection or how your going about things.

Alright changed my password again. again i clicked sign up for playstation network, use and existing account. i put in my email and password, then click.... oh my god..... i never payed attention i just keot clicking the gaint blue button underneath.... thats "Forget your password"....

Wow... well it works now. am such an idiot. THANK YOU THOUGH if you never made me think this methodicaly and step by step i would have ket picking the forget your password....

PS: Any news on when the psn store will be up again? Really wanna buy hardcorops for my ps3 (have it on my xbox) Also do i have to redownload all the games i bought on my psp?

Well I am not sure of an exact date but I read up online that it will be back up towards the end of may (http://www.wired.com/gamelife/2011/05/psn-hack-welcome-back/). Though I personally aren't holding to that. I feel your pain though, I have DLC that I would really like to download.
