Give your heart to Jesus. You'll never be alone again.
^- This would probably do the trick. Them religious types do tend to make happier peoples.

In the rare case I feel lonely. I usually call some friends, meet up with them and do something. Even if it's hanging in my flat, driking coffee talking and playing games, that's usually do the tricks.

I am alone. I've accepted it, and no friend can ever really break that fact because there is always something that keeps them away to an extent.

I don't know whether or not that is sad or acceptable.

"One is the loneliest number that you'll ever do
Two can be as bad as one
It's the loneliest number since the number one"

I gotta listen to that song now. But honestly I'd say put on some blues and just sit back and relax. Nothing wrong with getting the blues.

A hardcore Tetris session usually provides a temporary fix.

Dunno. Whatever coping mechanisms I use have become so ingrained in me over the years as to appear transparent when I analyse my own behaviours.

Go on random forums, get into an argument with a troll, see a friend you haven't seen for ages, Go onto an RP server for MMORPG or fight someone for a squeaky bone.

I usually grab some Beer/wine/cookies/other appropriate stuff and just go visit somebody.
Apart from that I don´t feel "dead inside" a lot, I`m not sure what that means, actually.

But if no one is around I also game, watch movies or write.
I do think that I am more often bored than lonely, though...

I have two groups of friends: one where everyone except me is in a relationship, the other where there is only about 1 or 2 of them in a relationship. The former makes me feel more lonely but they don't flaunt their partnership in front of me, which I am thankful for.

Also, when people who seem socially retarded and disrespectful of women find someone and I don't. What do girls want out of guys?!

At the moment I feel completely alone, despite the fact that I have three family members around the home, I have friends that I am speaking with currently and all that jazz that makes up social interaction.
It's sad, on a Thread like this, when some one gets Ninja'd by the OP.

get a significant other. That always helps. I know that was what was missing in my life when I felt like you're describing, I just didn't know it until a good bit after I started feeling that way. We all just need companionship!

I stop being lonely and start being awesome.
Dammit, you ninja-ing son of a mother.

Um... I find people. I have a few friends who will listen to me go on about my screwed up emotional state, and words cannot describe how grateful I am to them for it.
Alternatively I come here, and find threads I can make horrendously bad jokes in. That usually makes me feel better.

If anyone wants to vent emotionally into my inbox, feel free. I'll even offer advice if you want. Or not if you don't. I spend a lot of time being one of those people that people talk to about everything that's wrong with their life.

He's not implying that being alone is a bad thing. I enjoy time by myself which is perfectly normal as a confirmed introvert. Loneliness is the feeling that no one loves you and that there's no one to talk to. When I suffer from it, I text my husband or leave comments on facebook. I also immerse myself in fantasy, like games and books.
