Sitting in a comfortable spot in front of my TV as I usually do, in a fairly dark room with not that much noise in the background and the TV to be at a reasonable volume. It's how I usually game (except for the background noise part, there is usually family members talking nearby). And I should soon be getting an LCD TV in here, which will be far better than my 68cm TV from the 90's.

Sounds good to me. I would probably add in snackage of some kind as well.

What are optimal gaming conditions for you? This has to be realistic, in other words, with some planning and preparation, you could actually play game like this on any given day. So no crazy wishes...

For me:
I should be incredibly stoned, laying on my comfy couch in my spongebob undies (they are incredibly comfortable and supportive) with some sort of large cheese/salsa covered meaty dish on the table in front of me and a tall glass of Jack and coke.

I should also be alone at home (unless my girlfriend wishes to perform oral pleasures on me while I play) and my cats should be sleeping. The weather should be hot, but not uncomfortably so.

If all goes to plan, this is usually how I game on a Saturday afternoon.

What's your most comfortable gaming conditions?
In a Layz boy with a beer.

Depends on the game. Typically, I like sitting in a chair or on a couch. For certain Wii games, I like standing with plenty of moving space on either side. For visual novels, I pretty much always play at night lying in bed (also how I like reading most manga for the first time).

I pretty much only play games in the Winter. Summer is the time to be outside all day.

Depending on the game, I like playing either alone, or with a friend or two.

I like playing without any interruptions, and with something to eat and drink, preferably pizza and Mountain Dew.

If I'm playing, offline, I like to be alone, in a darkened room so I can see the screen optimally with a good game and some soft drinks.

Online, I like to play with friends (it's a hell of a lot less frustrating).

Alone with my game, with lots of nibbles around me does me just fine. It being a day off work helps.

Ice and soda, in a short glass.

OT - I would say on a rainy day so I don't feel guilty about missing out on the very rare good weather we sometimes get. I like cold beers within reaching distance, comfy attire, home alone so not to be winged at, and no pressing duties that need to be attended to within the next few days.

Sitting in my cushy armchair with my dogs laying around me, a cat crawling on my lap or shoulder, and a hot cup of coffee on the end table.

Warm enough outside that I can open a window and have warm summer evening breezes as I play.

Big cup of Pepsi from the convenience store next door to my apartment.

Rent paid, bills paid, girlfriend (if I had one) off visiting her family in another state or something, no work or school for a few days or more.

Just me, my computer, and no reason to feel guilty about spending hours and hours playing video games.
