How do you feel about being quoted?

It happens every so often. The little box tells you you have one new message, it's in the quoted folder. How do you feel?

For me I get the excitement of having said something important enough for someone to want to reply or expand on what I've said. That and the worry that I've posted something sounding quite aggressive and it's going to be someone calling me out on being a prick.

So, how do YOU feel?

Excited, usually if I have a new avatar, though I dread it sometimes if I'm participating in a heated argument that I have no interest in continuing.

I dunno.

I used to get excited, but lately I've just felt apathetic. People seem to agree with me too often, meaning the discussions I engage in are generally one-sided.

And yes, I realize this leaves me open to a ton of "I don't agree with you and am proving you wrong by not agreeing with you" responses to this post.

I rarely look foward to it, 'cause more often than not it's someone pointing out I'm wrong. ¬¬

I was going to say that you're wrong because I'm not pointing out that you're wrong but then my head exploded.

On topic I feel glee that somebody felt that what I said deserved a response. Kind of "Someone LOVES me!"

It's nice but I don't get to the point of excitement.

(This thread would have been far more entertaining if everyone quoted Zantos when they replied.)

I did feel a little bit worried that this was going to say "This is a stupid thread and you're an idiot for bringing it up".

I hate the argument ones, but fully accept it's my own fault for getting into the argument in the first place.

It would have been fun, but probably would have got annoying really quickly. "You have 12 new messages, and you're going to have to go through every one of them!"

usually I'm apprehensive as to why i'm quoted. Once I find out, I'm either flattered or annoyed.

Some people believe so blindly that their opinions are the absolute truth and the last thing you want is to be bought down to their level.

I'm usually worried and have to think back if I had said anything stupid recently.
Phew I think I caught that one.

I sigh, get out my notebook and jot down the name of whoever quoted me and plan for the day I will get my revenge.

I feel a twinge of excitement, then I am either flattered, annoyed, or apathetic towards the quotation. If I'm in the middle of an argument, I dread the quotation.

I used to get excited, but now I'm curious to know what I've typed to either piss someone off or if they're gonna mock me.

Or maybe if someone is gonna correct me, which seems to happen late at night since by then I'm super tired, my fault I suppose.

It's only ever happened once and that was positive, so all good.
