How do you feel about being quoted?

It means at least one person read what I wrote. If someone wants to argue with me then I'm usually up for it. I wouldn't have posted what I said in the first place if I didn't want someone to see I said it.

So I'd say its a positive thing regardless of what they are saying.

Side note: Replies in Group Chat have been nothing but good for me.
Even when someone is saying you shouldn't have children or someone's shaking their fist at you for your possible involvement in the creation of Cupcakes? Huh...
But no one's said either of those yet.....

DONT YOU DARE!
Actually, I do recall saying something along the lines of "No way, I don't want to come back to this group chat sometime when I'm in my forties or thirties to find his off-spring running around" when we needed to select a Male who was willing to spread the "Brony" gene so our people could live on and thrive, and as for the Cupcakes thing... yeah, I've seen plenty people say bad things about you for that. =P

If it's that annoying you could always try being right less often.
At this point on the site, I mostly just post my daily review in the User Review sectionWhich are awesome and everyone should definitely check out ASAP..

And since the few people that read/comment on them generally agree, or, if they don't, I don't usually have anything to say other than what I've already posted in the review, it doesn't lead to much back-and-forth discussion.

Or of course, people just haven't seen the movie I've reviewed, and then will either say that, or won't comment at all.

This could be solved by me posting in more places again, I'll admit. But I just don't have the energy. Maybe I should start hunting down posts I don't agree with... XD

It's a toss-up for me.

Half the time, it's argumentative, where someone just wants to be a jerk because of an opinion I hold. The other half, it's agreements on opinions, or things I didn't make mention of in my posts.

It depends on the poster most of the time.

I love it. It's always nice when somebody agrees with your opinion. It makes you feel less nuts.

Didn't I tell you not to dare? Never mind that I said it a few days after the fact, you should have listened to me! THESE are the kinds of quotes I hate!

And too bad. I'm the chosen one for what I was chosen for (the seed thing).

Glad that someone cared about my post to discuss it with me, mostly.

Even if you hate what someone is saying, discuss it with them and quote it. Its what forums are for, after all.

I experience equal parts excitement and dread. I love getting a direct response to something that I have written, but there is always a chance that it's because someone has decided to point out precisely how I have embarrassed myself in a public forum.

I used to get excited, but lately I've just felt apathetic. People seem to agree with me too often, meaning the discussions I engage in are generally one-sided.
Yes, I quite agree with you.

My own reaction tends to be a cautious sort of half-excitement.
I have to be careful though, or my ego gets the best of me before I even get to read the message, and the next thing I know is I've blacked out and done something terrible.

Pretty much this. I always think, "Oh geez,..."

It happens every so often. The little box tells you you have one new message, it's in the quoted folder. How do you feel?

For me I get the excitement of having said something important enough for someone to want to reply or expand on what I've said. That and the worry that I've posted something sounding quite aggressive and it's going to be someone calling me out on being a prick.

So, how do YOU feel?
Let's me know when someone responds directly to me, so...it's okay.

It makes me feel like my presence here is acknowledged.

I sigh, get out my notebook and jot down the name of whoever quoted me and plan for the day I will get my revenge.
Is it your death notebook?

OT: I love when people respond to me because it gives me the opportunity to respond back.

ZOMG it totally validates my existence!

But yeah, I am neutral towards it. Doesn't help that half the time it's somebody disagreeing with me in some stupid manner that makes further conversation with such an ... enlightened ... individual completely pointless.

Don't post fucking stupid things and people won't point out that you're wrong, Jenn. Is it really that hard?

I get a warm fuzzy feeling. "SOMEONE FELT THE NEED TO INCLUDE MY POST (or part of it) IN THEIR POST?! OH MY GOD I'M SO IMPORTANT!!!" Yeah, my life is sad.
